I currently live in Rochester. It always surprises me when we have a storm like that how few people invest in good snow tires around here. It’s not like snow of that magnitude is uncommon

just a heads up, inconel and titanium are two separate metals. inconel is nickel based, not titanium based. both are badass metals though

This makes me so excited. World Rallycross is so much better than GRC. Dedicated tracks help that a lot, but the joker lap format in World Rallycross makes the racing much more interesting for me. Good luck to Mr. Block with factory backing!

I’m from RIT. We’re 6 hours from Michigan in the opposite direction that you guys are

We try to do Michigan and Germany every year. Michigan is only 6 hours away, so we always go. Every now and then we’ve done both Michigan and Lincoln. We were at Lincoln in 2014 but as an east coast team we have to travel about 24 hours to get there, so it’s not a regular competition for us. Germany isn’t any closer,

Makes sense. Physical testing is almost more useful, our team has found that there can be large differences between simulation and testing for a variety of reasons. Best of luck with creating a good package

Definitely well said, design judges care most about justification of design goals rather than the actual numbers presented. The two year cycle for major rule changes will come again next year, so maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll let us run crazy aero again (I’m from the single-cylinder camp too).

Out of curiosity, how

A well balanced package will still keep drag in mind in FSAE. Even though the majority of track time is at lower speeds, drag still has a large impact on performance because of the intake restrictor. I think that a team would lose a ton of points in the design event for focusing on only downforce rather than an

I wish I had the video available, but I have a video of my WRX making that dreaded clack clack clack noise from the same perspective as the picture above :(

ironically, my landlord has one of these sitting in the yard, v8, quattro, manual and everything. doesn’t run though.

I bought my 02 WRX almost a year ago. And it has been one hell of a ride since.

i was gonna say, i have that wing. but it’s on my subaru.

volunteer. i’ve done stpr both ways, and volunteering was awesome. i got to help start the cars at stage 14, and it was unreal.

as one of said bros, it really is one of the best cars a college kid can buy used on a college kid budget that can move all of my college kid stuff and still be fast enough for my college kid shenanagins.

now worse than this.

beater daily driver/rallycross wrx is 61-70% Jalop. Agreed.

with the news of a mid-engine corvette yesterday, and a new ford gt possibly soon, i'd say the year is starting off strong.

no. it was more just playing off of the brobaru stereotype. besides, there's a difference between a cyclone and doing reverse doughnuts in your moms corolla till the transmission explodes.

did some of these on the edge of the wonderful buffalo snow band in my wrx last night. do you even stage 2 bro?

also interchangable with a 3/8in
