“That sounds like work; what if we half-ass it instead?”
You are going to need a bulldozer and dump truck to pick up the POOP !!!
I believe your cat is playing the long con and thinks it will get swallowed, eventually. That’s when it’ll strike. From the inside.
One book.
The Loki Show has a lot of other stuff to deal with, and while I wouldn’t say no to a scene of Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson furiously making out, it probably wouldn’t fit the story they’re trying to tell.
Yeah, Loki’s a thousand-years-old, he’s a God, he can transcend time and space...pretty sure you’d get bored of fucking women all the time. Hell, he turns himself in a woman to seduce men from time-to-time, and he’s probably fucked numerous creatures, sexual or not, from various dimensions in his lifetime.
I’d argue it doesn’t quite *need* elaboration. Not every queer character has an obligation to have an in-depth story about what it means to be queer; just acknowledging it as a normal part of life and having characters around react in a positive way already sends a strong positive message.
I think it made sense in the context of the episode given that they were tentatively feeling each other out to see if they could recognize anything of themselves in the other. Episode 2 made a point that Sylvie is drastically different from Loki in a lot of ways - Loki incredulously notes that “I would never treat me…
Real talk. Disney is not going to put anything prolonged on the screen or story that they can’t edit out for overseas (see China) censors.
I figure Loki saying that is akin to Captain Jack Harkness’s immortal shenanigans, though with minimal camp. When you live that long, eventually you play every game.
You’d think “vastly reduced risk of potentially unpleasant and even fatal illness” would do the trick, but: yeah.
So, less worried than they should be about unvaccinated people exercising their “personal choice” to become reservoirs and incubators for the iota variant which completely escapes the immune response from the current vaccinations and lands us right back in 2020. Or 1918. Or 1350.
I know I keep beating this drum, but we need to seriously consider just paying people to get fucking vaccinated.
I kinda enjoyed the weird status quo the Clone Saga gave us for a while, back before announcing Ben was the real Spider-man (which was undone later with the return of the Green Goblin revealing Petey was the real real Spidey all along...)
Supes is great. The problem is that it’s incredibly difficult to write a story about Space Jesus when your entire genre has always been “quipping sociopaths punching each other” at it’s core, and the majority of your audience are frustrated middle aged men looking for some tits and some fights.
Kyle Rayner is the better GL.
This guy ? is never going to be a thing ,sorry.
Seeing writers trying to make Ben Reilly work, is like seeing people keep reaching for the grail in Last Crusade, and tumbling into the abyss.
It might help that in the country the series is set in cops shoot *considerably* less black people
