I’m not averse to him continuing in the role, but IIRC, Raimi basically said that his casting (and all the casting for the Illuminati) was basically fan service and is not indicative of how those roles will be cast in the MCU proper.

I agree for that jury specifically, but Yttrium is making the case that it would invalidate *any* case Jen would work going forward.

Do you really believe that would happen in real life?

The YouTuber said that he’d been on the receiving end of bullying and hate and feels unsafe leaving his house. According to Escalona, he and his wife were even kicked out of a restaurant in Madrid because the manager didn’t want “undesirables.”

Andrew Rea (Binging with Babish) seems like an alright dude. The Game Grumps too.  I don’t think any of them would ever refer to themselves as “influencers” though, let alone try to leverage that into free products (beyond the occasional brand deal for sponsored videos, of course).

I didn’t get to see this one in theaters in its original run (I still didn’t feel safe about sitting in a movie theater, and the local drive-in was closed for the season), so I’ll definitely be seeing the re-release.  Assuming the bivalent booster is out by then, of course.

Rogue One was brilliant. It really felt like a war movie in a way that no mainline Star Wars movie has. Not in the sense that there’s massive battles, of course, but it really helps you to understand the larger conflict that the characters are a part of, and the sacrifices that need to be made to ensure that your side

For now. They already edited him out of Aquaman 2.

Yeah, but that would involve extensive reshoots, which means more money and delays.

I usually use “themself” myself, but I don’t think there’s an agreed upon standard.

Well, there is Letitia Wright being antivaxx... but yeah, still pales in comparison to Ezra Miller.

She was going to be introduced alongside an established Batman.

He is a refugee from a world destroyed by failing to heed the signs of environmental collapse, raised by simple farm folk who taught him right from wrong. His greatest foe is a billionaire who uses his wealth and power to make the world a worse place for his own benefit.

But not Batgirl.  That’s just a bridge too far.

I love that we’re pretending that the Snyder DC movies were these great pictures everyone loved now. They were as good as Granny’s peach tea.

But then we get into the bigger question. What’s worse: no direction, or a terrible directon nobody likes?

I mean, he also *sounds* like The Rock, which is a pretty big deal. And Moana played to that strength in a way that it sounds like League of Super-Pets doesn’t.

I’d say he’s a pretty great cinematographer. I don’t know that I’d call him a solid director. He makes a lot of pretty baffling decisions that are actively detrimental to his movies. It’s good to take risks, but so many of the risks he takes just do not pay off at all.

Either way, if Ben wants to keep playing him, that’s fine by me.

That’s wrestling.
