That was a comic trope way before it was a video game trope.

Yeah, I remember avoiding this show specifically because it wasn’t related to B:TAS or the rest of the Diniverse shows.  Which was silly in retrospect.

Who is determining what is “age appropriate or developmentally appropriate”?

This is why it’s important to remember that megacorporations are not your friends.  At best, they can be allies of convenience, but never forget they will sell you out for a nickel, all the while telling you exactly what you want to hear from them.

It stopping at third grade does not make. It OK. Stop acting like it is a good idea.

It seems like the changes they made, made it seem even more generic, right down to the title.

Weren't they serials, and not self-contained movies?

Honestly, kinda. And it’s a testament to the power of Adam West’s Batman that it’s over half a century later and filmmakers are *still* driven to ever greater levels of grimdark to try to escape his shadow.

I didn’t realize until this moment how much I need Ice-T to play Harvey Bullock.

Real talk: Why is it that, literally every time a new Batman movie comes out, all we hear about is how it’s more “grounded” and “gritty” than the last? I mean, sure, Batman does that tone a little better than most superheroes, but it’s hardly the only direction to explore with the character.  Do something new!

The bigger money issue is that the international sanctions are going to make doing business in Russia a lot more difficult (and difficult = expensive). Makes sense that a lot of companies would skip the trouble.

Slow month for Disney+, I guess.

If your perceptions of me are colored a certain way, you must think I owe you something, right?

Who are you quoting in terms of “demanding” anything? I don’t recall demanding anything at all.

Mostly it’s my perceptions of Tom Hardy that have been colored by this, but keep tilting at those windmills.

They told us, the public, about the issue, so unless they want that issue to color our perceptions of them, they should probably tell us whether and how it was resolved.

You’re right. We aren’t owed any sort of apology. But Charlize Theron most certainly is. Has she given any indication she has received one?

Let’s face it, if you don’t want to hear dull acceptance speeches, you’re not watching The Oscars.

People just don’t bother tuning in because they know the Oscars are as real as professional wrestling.
