I want to meet this person who thinks of The Death and Return of Superman before, say, Final Fight or Streets of Rage.

I’m the younger of two brothers, so you better believe I always liked Luigi more.

There’s still some around. Usually as part of movie theaters and bowling alleys.

Because copyright infringement is a civil matter, and has no bearing on potential criminal charges.

Only because they are set that way. To encourage you to buy the loot boxes.

I have to wonder how much of the current loot box mania is trading long term health for short term gains. I have to think this kind of thing drives people away from the hobby. I mean, speaking for me personally, I have already chosen not to buy games I was otherwise extremely interested in because they do this crap

Yeah, if they’re distributing actual game code, that becomes a different story. But that is going to take a lot to prove.

They cared enough to sue over it, and force Galoob to seek a declaratory judgment that the Game Genie does not infringe on Nintendo right to create derivative works. I expect the outcome here to be the same. Cheaters suck, but that doesn’t mean we can abuse copyright laws to get rid of them.

To allow art to die simply because nobody wishes to monetize it seems only to serve to make our culture poorer.

Has anyone asked the indigenous people of Hegemone how they feel about being “discovered”?

The Galaxy S8 has an SD card, as do a ton of other phones by Samsung and Motorola. They disappeared for a while, but came back when Google added adoptable storage to Android. I find it hilarious that you make fun of that other guy for being out of touch, and you’re behind on the times yourself.

Did you pitch a fit when asked to report “terrorists”?

He didn’t even call it the “Warrior Award” when he proposed it. He proposed naming it after some dude backstage (I forget the name). Honestly, that whole proposal is probably the one selfless thing he has ever done, which creates a perverse sense of irony in the fact that they now use it to make his name bigger than
