It takes a special kind of judgey perfectionist to be a ballet dancer, and I speak from experience. Plus, many of us who DIDN’T have the feet or body for ballet are bitter - I also speak from experience. =)
Ballet is all about the lines of the human body. Costumes are typically very tight in order to showcase those lines. It does seem like there would be a conflict with the modesty required by someone who practices the hijab.
