7 months and here we are. A president serves for 4 years.

The really pressing question is this - who the heck needs a thousand dollar phone? Why? Don’t you already have gps and whatnot covered? What the heck would this that other things do not do?

Like you, but Gawker is no more and hasn’t been for a while. Never coming back.

Then I began to work in bookstores. Guess what happened? Men who do not act like that. There is life (albeit less money) out there.

This isn’t your fault. Once upon a time our country had a Public Health department which immunized every American person for free from terrible diseases. We don’t have that any more.

Well, after x years of this, quite a few of us are tired of catering to these men and their egos. I know I am.

‘isn’t fair even if the original tenets are clouded by stupidity and corruption’ You will allow that and yet tell us not to criticize? Of course we will. We should, every time we see stupidity and corruption. As citizens of a so-called republic that is our responsibility.

Garbage: will not read, will not watch.

I know this. If your roof is still there, you get no electricity for at least a week, so no hot water, no refrigeration, no light. Been there, done that. I hope that that is the worst you have to live with. All wishes go out to you. I hate hurricanes.

I am old and all. I thought that haute couture was about rich women wearing clothing that cost a lot of money. What on earth is this? No one would wear these clothes.

Yea, that’s what I’m hearing here. The older people got here in a different way. And that would be most people’s experience. My family and world were already here before any immigration rules came into play - they lived in the Louisiana Purchase area. Let people live decent lives.

The problem is that the smaller towns do not have Red Cross or FEMA. Houston is a huge horror. Smaller do in the awful begin to be, but not have TV shows for a big city. I live in New Orleans and know that what on the Mississipppi coast was worse than our world. Nobody saw it. Fewer people and no pictures. A freaking

Yes, i know. And I will always care.

Thank god for the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. They were all deists there.

This is so important to remember. Corpus Christi was a working town. Harvey was a town. Houston is a huge metropolitan area, far larger than anyone of you in the eastern states could comprehend. It takes up all the news and all the miles or meters. Never to say that I won’t send best wishes to them as well as my money

Would that it were only ‘an extra 30 to 40/month’ If I ran the central a/c here my utility bill would be more than tripled. I use fans - lots of fans. Water - lots of water (stay hydrated, people). Showers - cool showers. Every year.

You still have to pay for the electricity to run the thing. Am I going to give the money I’d spend for fresh vegetables to pay Entergy? No. It’s real in the summer and autumn is a very welcome break between deciding whether I’ll have heat stroke waiting for a bus or shivering doing same. I love October. Freedom.

Yeah, the regular Baptists did that, the Catholics did that, the Muslims did that, the Jews did that. He needed an invitation. No
