This, x1000.
I voted for them too! That’s where my end-game save is with now. I heavily considered all the different factions, and actually went down all the end quest lines, and the Institute left me feeling the best. Besides, there’s that whole spoiler-y connection, which I just couldn’t ignore. Choosing anyone else and dicking…
Interesting - I was extremely turned off by the beta. Then again, there were serious matchmaking issues with the servers, that made even finding a match a chore. Still, I generally persevere if the game’s compelling enough. I don’t know - something about it just felt a bit clunky and lackluster. Perhaps the final…
Not until everyone’s dead, apparently.
Fair enough!
I don’t have trouble distinguishing between fantasy and reality at all. I simply don’t understand why the trauma of rape is a sexual fantasy for some women. I’m not judging. I simply don’t get it.
I honestly have a difficult time understanding the women that defend rape porn. Even if rape porn is just a fantasy, considering the horror and frequency of actual rape, I can’t even understand what about it makes the fantasy of rape appealing to a woman (as opposed to men who watch rape porn, where the appeal is…
Yeah... it’s fairly hard to process. I was a little horrified to find that rape fantasy porn was a thing. Knowing women than have been raped, it’s difficult to understand the psychology behind the school of feminsm that supports that sort of porn.
Yeah - I tried to run Black Flag on a 7970, a 7970 in Crossfire, and - most shocking of all - a 980Ti - and it ran and looked atrocious, compared to pretty much every other game. I thought they’d get better after III’s similar dismal performance, but nope. I think the ACII Trilogy was the only one in the series that…
I hear you. As soon as someone makes eye contact with me I look away. I’m a dude, though, and I don’t want to make any women feel uncomfortable - that, and I’m super shy.
I forgot about that! Very cool indeed - hopefully a broader sign of things to come, too.
The interface is truly clunky and bad - no arguments there. And yet, I’m still more hooked on this game than I’ve been with any AAA release in years - the wonderfully polished, beautiful Witcher 3 included. 170 hours and counting so far. I guess that’s the Bethesda magic, eh? Besides, mods will come in and clean up…
Is “attainable” code for “not super hot?” Never heard that one before.
Yeahh. That’s the main thing that’s keeping me from getting that perk: you can’t see shit underwater.
I wish Bethesda would break their silence on when they’re going to put out a patch for Fallout’s first wave of bugs...
I’ve been reading Kotaku for six or seven years, and I still like your style just as much as ever, perhaps even moreso for all the shit you’ve been through with trolls and corporate bullshit alike. Keep up the good work, Stephen. Piper would be proud.
This is such a good fucking point. Trolls will be trolls, I guess.
Items that are marked for search are marked with a green outline if it has the components you need. Seems like it’d be an easy mod to make one for corpses/weapons, though I guess you wouldn’t want it on all the time.
The main thing I’m missing is the Witcher 3 and DA:I’s ability to highlight nearby corpses or loot containers. Going searching for a legendary corpse that got blown up somewhere totally sucks.
