Not really. On this generation cycle, that may be the case, but by the time the PS2 rolled out, Sony was king of the hill as far as gaming went. And the PlayStation 2 pretty much redefined consoles as we knew them and was one of the primary reasons why the DVD format became the standard it is today.

It's weird... I hated Killer7, but I'm proud of owning a copy of it.

Well, EA did have a considerable change after John Riccitiello became CEO, I think. I used to loathe anything churned out by EA, but then they started releasing games like Crysis, Dead Space, and Mirror's Edge. So yeah, good for them. Fuck Activision, though.

Blond people are boring to play as. And they belong in the 90s, anyway.

You actually do make a good point. I wouldn't call it ''sexist'' as much as I'd call it ''male gamers are still just as horny as they were 20 years ago.'' So yeah, the fact she's a girl does weigh in a bit, I think. :P

Then stop bitching just because she didn't play the game the way you wanted her to. Upload a video. See if anyone gives a shit.

I see what you did there...

Limbo stuck to a 2D plane for the entirety of the game, it was black-&-white, and it lacked character visibility/invisibility mechanics.

How does GameStop still exist? Do people not realize that Amazon, and Steam are far more viable, economic option? GameStop even sells repackaged used games as ''new''.

This Sutter fella seems like an interesting figure. And for some reason, I am now in the mood for some GTA IV: The Lost & Damned.

Good, I'm sick of publishers trying to cram some rushed up multiplayer mode into what is clearly meant to be a single-player experience. BioShock 2's multiplayer sucked ass.

In a dream world, all consoles use a base platform, kind of like how Japanese arcades use (or used) the NAOMI (I think it was called like that) platform. That would avoid crap like this. Anyway, a disjointed and greedy console industry is what's gonna end consoles themselves.

Yup. That sums it up pretty nicely.

At this point in the project's development, only a severe loss of programmers, its lead designer, or its director could truly complicate matters in any significant manner.

That's worth $16 million? Is it only me, or does it look highly unimpressive for such a high price? Anyway, I hope it burns with him inside.

It's amazing that people would bitch about this. I think it's a wonderful and innovative concept.

Tom Selleck, is that you?

Hehe, the Star Wars one made me immediately play the Mos Eisley Cantina song in my head. :D

Any chance of writing another article like this for the Metal Gear Solid saga? Now that the trophy update is live, MGS spirit is in the air!

Great article. And its humor even got me to genuinely chuckle at it, which is impressive given that Kotaku's humor is... well, they try too hard. Excellent job, Jason!
