Maybe if I were a bigger Star Wars fan, I’d care more about how well the lore slotted in to the rest of the universe, but come on. Were the Force Unleashed games any worse than the 100% canon (before Legends, that is) Darksaber and The Crystal Star novels?

Now playing

Protagonist Cal Kestis appears, listening to this music on headphones as he works.”

I don’t agree that it’s supernatural, at least in the genre sense. It’s more like handwavey sci-fi than Tomb Raider goes for.

It’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure it was a previously unknown type of fungus living in/on the statue that was turning people into zombies, akin to the cordyceps fungus Naughty Dog turned to for The Last of Us.

I actually kind of liked the Assassin’s Creed movie. It was fine. I also thought the new Tomb Raider movie was a lot of fun, even if it chickened out at the end and stole the first Uncharted’s big threat for its final reveal instead of embracing the TR franchise’s love of supernatural nonsense.

Honestly, I think we all do.

I mean, I doubt anyone was expecting or hoping for this movie to be The Godfather with a super-fast hedgehog. It’s fine if the plot’s fairly predictable, because at least now the movie looks fun. Why can’t that be enough?

This looks... fun? Wow. I genuinely kind of want to see this now.

This is very interesting, and I’d love to see more attention paid to Venus - in a lot of ways, it’s our planet’s closest relative.

Maaaaybe.

But... why?

I really have to disagree with Rick being the author’s surrogate. I think it’s pretty clear that, whatever the fanbase thinks, the show pretty clearly portrays Rick as a destructive, toxic, and ultimately pathetic person whose inability or refusal to care about anything but himself or see any value in other people has

Will one of the DLCs be a pronunciation guide for the game’s title?

Because it IS a standalone expansion? You don’t need the original game.

I mean, sure, fine, whatever. I don’t see why a character from Overwatch couldn’t be the heart of Overwatch 2's story, but that’s just me.

I once won a couple of games of Street Fighter with Dan. All tier lists without him as number one are wrong.

So this is, on the surface, a reasonable take. Blizzard, like any other company or person, has a right to decide what’s allowed on their platform, and an interest in making sure that the speech allowed there is, at the least, not going to reflect negatively on them.

No problem. It’s one of those things that can be confusing because Blizzard uses the same name for the playable character/class and the fictional society they come from. So it’s true that all Amazons (the class) are women, but not all Amazons (the culture) are.

That’s certainly possible.

Just as a slight correction: not all Amazons are women, but their society is arranged so that most callings or professions are restricted to one gender or the other. Warriors are exclusively women, but there are other jobs that only men do.
