Man, I saw that and all I could think was that it looks like a tremendous pain to get into and out of.

That’s one thing I’m surprised they ignored, given that Heroes of the Storm not only tells you what, if anything each skin changes (modified or replaced VO, themed abilities, special mounts, etc), but lets you try the skin out for free in a vs AI skirmish. Seems like the Overwatch team ought to steal that idea.
I was more referring to MW2, Ghost Bear, and Mercs, where you could (and, arguably should, since losing a leg essentially ended your mission anyway - at least that way you’d have guns as long as your mech was mobile).
I was mistaken, it’s not part of Games With Gold, it’s just free for everyone as long as you claim it before the end of the year to mark the 300 game milestone for backwards compatibility.
Personally, I’m enjoying it quite a bit.
Or a 360, which is much cheaper.
If you’ve got a 360 (and Gold) you can get it there for free. Heck, if you’ve just got Gold, you can buy it for free through the XBLA website.
Man, when I was a kid we had a MechWarrior 2 demo disk. It had, I think, two missions and a few instant action maps. I played that demo more than some full games!
Mechwarrior 3 was the only time the Criticals system felt even vaguely worth the time and effort it took to properly outfit your mech (I still remember the frustration of trying to fit a full load of ferro-fibrous armor onto my in Mercenaries - Just let me take MOST of it instead of having to jettison a heat sink or…
I thought the Tyranids were just interested (so far as anyone knows) in reproduction, growth, and evolution.
Wait, what? You mean all those car parts I’ve collected are just sitting somewhere NOT doing me any good?
I mean, not to get nitpicky, but while Orks may have been an issue, the original designers of the Imperium’s tanks DEFINITELY didn’t have Tyranids in mind when they designed them, since the Hive Fleets’ arrival in the galaxy is a relatively recent event in 40K, long after the Dark Age of Technology when the STC…
To be clear, I was saying they look obsolete and primitive to us because of Games Workshop’s artistic decisions: with all those right angles, if it weren’t for sci-fi handwavium armor materials and shields, any modern anti-tank weapon would go through a Land Raider or Leman Russ like a hot knife through butter!
Is that still canon? I don’t have it in front of me, but I’m positive I’ve read stories with Space Marines and Imperial Guardsmen able to read (not that literacy is generally a big plot point in any adventure stories ;p ). Plus I’d imagine the Ecclesiarchy wouldn’t long function without literacy, at least for the…
The IMperium’s tech level is weird. On the one hand, giant robots and plasma guns. On the other, hand-written notes on vellum and candles everywhere.
I mean, I don’t DISLIKE the cream, but the cookie is certainly my favorite part.
For real. Reminds me of some guy who leapt to the defense of some rando who was harrassing Nathan (I think) when he was livestreaming his way through Demon’s Souls a couple years ago. Going on about how Nathan deserved it because he picked the wrong class and how he had to protect the honor of the game or whatever.
I feel like this is a joke... but maybe not.
No auto-play ad for me, for WoW or anything else, and I’m not running an ad blocker.
They’re both excellent, and I’d recommend you give both a try. I felt like the first one’s story worked a little better for me (though others have said the opposite), but the optional tombs are far superior in the second.
