I'm thinking a gritty Jazz Jackrabbit reboot, as a cover shooter with a hedge trimmer attached to his pencil-gun.

Well, their loss in profits is their fault, isn't it? Either they signed a deal with a fixed income amount, which means they should have known how much they expected to take in from the deal, or they signed it hoping for royalties or other kickbacks, which is a risk, doubly so on an untested concept/property, and…
The true irony that I find in this is that of all the "geeky" genres that I most associate with female fans or otherwise appealing to women, it's fantasy. Most of the "geek" girls I've known in my day have been *far* more into LotR, WoW, Fable, Final Fantasy, etc than have been into Halo, Gears, The Matrix,…
I think the focus on the katana comes from the very personal relationship a katana swordfight entails.
Those blades shown in closeup were simply amazing. The sheen was practically blinding - I would give just about anything to own one of this man's creations. They truly are works of art.
It should also be noted that the Xbox/PS2 version of the game ALSO came out for PC and is available on Steam, for those who are looking for a PC version.
In other news, a month after The Old Republic launches, an estimated 1.6 million WoW players are expected to come running back to WoW.
Wow! Amazing art style for a mobile game - I really hope it comes to Android/Xperia Play as I'd *love* to pick this up.
The idea of it being ARM based is *VERY* interesting, as it means easier cross porting between mobile devices (phones, Vita, 3ds) and the Xbox. This, of course, is a two way street, when you think about it. 4-5 years after the launch of this Xbox mobile phones and handheld consoles will be nearly as powerful as it…
Horse Armor is not "substantial", Bethesda.
I can't take credit for the manifest destiny line - I stole that from Jim Sterling at Dtoid, and though I mostly loathe him and his reviews, his recent article on this same topic, written after giving GoW 3 the *outrageous* score of 8/10 (how DARE he?!) used this line, and I felt it highly apropos.
Give this man a medal! I'm getting so sick of the persistent manifest destiny of game review scores, and the concept that a game is guaranteed a 9 or 10 based mostly on the quality of its predecessors rather than its own merits.
Hey, for once a game actually has an excuse to make the woman insanely busty. Of course they'll probably drop her waist size down to disgusting Barbie levels instead of keeping her oh so sexy hips.
Excited for this one, but I wish they'd rerecord the voice acting for the terrible DMC3 - it's just atrocious. Also DMC2 pretty much sucked as hard as any game possibly can, but I'd say DMC 1&3 are still worth the price of admission.
This makes me quite sad - all the more reason that the industry needs a secure, simple, cheap offsite backup solution so that these kinds of tragedies can be avoided.
So wait, they're going to take almost 2 years to reboot a game that it took them 2 years to make, while still leaving the game up and running in the meantime, meaning that the reboot will arrive just in time for the game to be truly dated?
Possibly excited, but need more details about game type and mechanics before I can fully commit to full blown hysterical glee.
20 bucks for CV:X HD? HIGHWAY ROBBERY! It's a good game, for sure, but I'm starting to get annoyed at the pricing of these HD remakes of games. I can maybe see RE4 HD for 20, and that's still a bit pricey. 10-15 per game seems a more fair price point. Or at least offer a $30 bundle for both.
Really? I was going to say he did that with Dom and Maria, but Gordon and Alyx wasn't much better...
There's two big reasons companies use these: filters are often a cheaper substitution for FSAA since the Xbox and the PS3 can't really do FSAA in equal measure (or at all in some cases). In the case of PC, devs generally assume that few people who play the game have the hardware to run it at max spec with AA or even…
