I main warrior in BDO and I have several attacks that cause a knockdown, stun or stagger state. Pretty pleased with the way combat plays out personally.

This is very standard armor strategy.... my interceptor IOTV in the army had an inner layer of kevlar and was partially made from aramid fibers, you would insert ceramic armor plates. Exact same concept, plate gets hit first, if it gets through plate, then it hits kevlar/aramid.
To be fair, that history is mostly the games not playing well with the cards, not the other way around.
