Huh, the original NWN was ok but largely forgettable, Aribeth was cool but the rest of it was meh. NWN2 on the other hand had you fighting Githyanki and ultimately the shadow king, then going to Rasheman for the unparalleled MotB. Seriously, NWN2>>>>NWN.

That’s like saying the steak you’re eating is great, but really wish it was a McDonald’s hamburger.

Dual-Classing on the other hand can be extremely powerful (and yes it's weird that multi-classing and dual-classing are completely different things, but such is 2e D&D).

That’s so funny because I could only play DA:O with the isometric camera.

There’s actually some level scaling in some of the early BG2 quests. For instance you can get more gauths and even beholders if you do the eyeless cult quest late. It’s actually one of the few times I think level scaling has been done right.

It’s an unpopular opinion as it demonstrably false. :P

Yeah, but the hypothetical is not a hate group. It’s a brand new thing that gets classified as a hate group because of what others have done, not it. Maybe I’m naive but I’d rather have everyone examine arguments on their merits alone rather than what associations they may or may not have.

Yeah, but I feel like that may be even harder in the world today. Imagine it’s not an actual group with a leader but a hashtag movement like BLM. It just feels like as humans we’re so quick to make someone guilty by association, and we’re making it even easier.

See I find this kind of fascinating. Take the issue of child custody, in the past courts generally favored fathers, now they tend to favor mothers. Say this issue has has impacted you and you want to start a group to make it more balanced. I have a feeling that even if that’s was the group’s only purpose it would be

Non-compete clauses are notoriously hard to enforce for a variety of reasons. I’ve actually never seen one been enforced in any case I’ve ever worked on (granted I’m still relatively young). I doubt that claim will go anywhere, it’ll be interesting to see what happens to rest of the lawsuit.

So the fact that they’re seeking funding for the lawsuit means the case is so bad they couldn’t find one lawyer willing to take it on as a contingency fee arrangement. Yeah, this is going nowhere.

If it’s anything like PoE,. that shot is probably way zoomed out.

No grind XP was the part of Pillars. No more gamey incentives to kill everyone, no more exploits where you complete a quest for someone then immediately kill them, etc.

Yeah, I’d still rank Mask of the Betrayer as better (if only because I’m a sucker for high level planar adventures). But yeah, it’s very good.

Start as a count in Ireland in 1066. Try to become the emperor of Britannia. That should give you a relatively safe way to learn the mechanics without worrying about giant neighbors trying to gobble you up.

I think the ending of PoE was amazing myself. So your mileage may vary.

Each will be stand alone playable, but if you have multiple installed they’ll make a larger grand campaign map. At least, that’s what they described. Still will be interesting to see how it turns out.

The White March is great BTW. Easily up there with MotB.

It’s the Baldur’s Gate series for me.

If you haven’t heard it’s going to be a trilogy of games. With the game maps of each fitting together like a puzzle. By the end they want to have all races with an army book playable.
