Lord of the Douchbags!
These shows still creep me out. They send the message to kids that everyone is sexually active in high school. There are plenty of kids who graduate virgins and aren't devout Christians, thank you!
catsloveart: I am so sorry about your flare! That's a huge change. Weight loss like you have can lead to serious malnutrition. I've been hospitalized in the past for serious malabsorption issues, and ended up on a PICC line (IV feeding, it's like Ensure dumped directly into your bloodstream). I am also short…
My parents' lab-rottie mix became obsessed with a neighbor's lamb they brought into their house to bottle feed. She licked it clean and she would snuggle with it an night to keep it warm. She took care of it for several weeks until the lamb became too frisky and annoying to her.
What a fabulous test! I've gotten the same reaction when mentioning that I'm a lawyer. If a guy's eyes go wide and he says, "Really, how cool!" you know he's potentially worth a few minutes conversation.
Suzanne is great, and I can't wait until they do an episode with her backstory. (They seem to cover one person per episode.)
I meet almost all his criteria (I'm only a size 0 because I'm really short), but I am still offended by his list.
I did this for friends of mine who were on this site. They are both academics so they'd be living apart after the honeymoon. That we could put something towards their brief time together felt nice.
I don't think it's the providers (ie. docs and nurses) who are pushing this. It's the company making them. They get higher offers from these creepy private companies and sell out (literally!). Then when the local NICU or geriatric center calls to reorder, they are told they are sold out. Bad Pharma!
Wow- this is sickening. I'm usually not a "think of the little babies!" person, but once a child is born, it needs access to all the health care it needs so it can have a normal, healthy development and grow into a fully developed, healthy adult. That children are dying so that wealthy alcoholics can have hangover…
I'm an advocate for disabled children, if your brother is a special ed teacher, in the Bronx or anywhere, he IS doing great things! It takes a lot of intelligence (and patience) to work with special needs kids. Many of them are also smart, and it takes a highly intelligent teacher to see that. Every time one of his…
Thank you! I was waiting for the "Call the Midwife" reference!
Lol- looks like a sundress/mumu, a cute one though, I will give you that. I love that print!
However, I can totally understand why one might choose to use one in certain situations.
The specially made nursing cover that I've seen looks a lot like a burqa. Anyone else have the same reaction?
Second thought, for those worried about the exposure of young male minds to naked breasts. If I had a son, I would tell him "That is what breasts are for, to feed babies. That baby is eating right now, so don't stare. Would you want someone staring at you while you ate?"
I spent an evening with a good friend of mine and her newborn this weekend. The baby was premature, so she really needs to be fed on schedule to ensure proper development. My friend is a pediatrician and yet she had a little bit of reservation about breastfeeding where we were. I assured her that she and her baby…
Hmm.. I've never heard of anyone getting ecoli or salmonella from someone else breastfeeding in public, but if you really feel it's like defecating in public...
LOL - yeah, I meant under 5 feet. I'm not Thumbalina. I don't even meet the cut to be a Little Person.
Good lord- I played in the Providence bocce league for years. The better players in the league were a mix of men and women. I'm under 5" and I was considered a decent player. Strategy is more important than brute strength when you are playing at a higher level, especially when banking (throwing the ball so that it…
