My parents' lab-rottie mix became obsessed with a neighbor's lamb they brought into their house to bottle feed. She licked it clean and she would snuggle with it an night to keep it warm. She took care of it for several weeks until the lamb became too frisky and annoying to her.

What a fabulous test! I've gotten the same reaction when mentioning that I'm a lawyer. If a guy's eyes go wide and he says, "Really, how cool!" you know he's potentially worth a few minutes conversation.

I don't think it's the providers (ie. docs and nurses) who are pushing this. It's the company making them. They get higher offers from these creepy private companies and sell out (literally!).
