Jane Buckingham, a so-called “millennial expert”

Don’t romanticize this too much. There’s a big chance she can still hear Jared Kushner’s voice.

I’m sorry, how do I sign up for this condition?

As a British man, the only times we were allowed to show emotion is when your football (soccer) team lost or your dog died. A nation that’s supposed to be stoic as fuck. The famous British stiff upper lip.

To be fair, some bosses are really shitty about people calling in sick. I once had a job when I was younger where my boss required a doctor’s note if you called in sick. So if you couldn’t afford to go to the doctor or just didn’t need to (like with most viral colds), you were screwed and just had to go in or lose

I needed something light and fluffy tonight. Not an hour after I posted on SNS saying “I’m doing alright”, one of my cats was hit by a car. We’ve been in mourning in this house for almost 24 hours, and looking at fancy people wearing fancy dresses is a good way to start healing.

So basically some dude who files lawsuits for a freakin’ living, it seems, is going after this company because he figured he had a decent shot at making a case.

This is ridiculous. I get having strong anti-discrimination laws, but being anti-women only spaces isn’t being supportive of that; it’s fully, intentionally anti-woman. The law needs to have allowances for women (and men) only spaces where appropriate (this would include gyms, and colleges, for example). Men have had,

One year I resolved to stop falling asleep in the shower. I don’t remember how long it lasted--a couple of weeks I

Lizzo makes me happy.  That is all.

Oh my god. This immediately brought to mind the scene in Kill Bill where the hospital attendant had been assaulting her while she was in her coma and just jesus fucking christ. This poor woman.

Let me stop you right there: No one in politics should ever look silly.

The writer, Mariah Smith, is black, but the Cut’s editors, and their perspective, are mostly white.

I was dying at the scene where Bateman is trying to wipe the blood off of her, and it just kept getting worse and worse.

My 35-yr-old virgin ass is proof that lace panties aren’t a penis-whistle.

A section that stood out to me from the Washington Post story:

It’s kind of appropriate that Mel & Betsy would get a group of black girls, and choose to show a movie about a disadvantaged white boy, where everything turns out alright for him in the end. Everyone knows that white males always have it worse than everyone else.

I’ve not seen Wonder, so I can’t comment on how good it is but I do know it is white af. The message is important but perhaps they could have picked a movie that was more relevant for the kids?
