Yep, give me a corporation that builds minor damage into its bottom line any day over an individual who gets a scratch on their new car.

amen—renting your car doesn’t mean you get other people to reimburse you for the normal wear and tear that car is going to experience.
I always take pictures of my rental car, too—but not the interior unless there was a huge hole in the seat, etc. It honestly wouldn’t have occurred to me to take pictures of the dash.
I think you’ll find 2.5 million cars is a hell of a lot for anyone other than the long-standing big guys. I agree, though, that the market cap is crazy.
I agree—this is unnecessary hate on Tesla. My mercedes had a recall because the air bag was going to throw shrapnel in my face. My Jeep had a recall because the transmission didn’t properly interface with the brake when parking.
Maybe they invested oil profits into infrastructure for EVs? I recently rented a hybrid in France, and only was able to charge it conveniently one night. The infrastructure wasn’t there.
Mother:
I found your article quite interesting. I was the guy in your class (not literally—I was several years ahead of you) who had to work hard to get in, and who did not have rich parents and your socio-economic background. What rings hollow to me is the notion that you were considering either Grindr or Goldman from a…
In legalese, though, they are technically correct. Overturning it means it never happened from a legal perspective, regardless of the basis for overturning the conviction.

Not having to get out of the truck in the freezing cold and mud to turn the front wheel axle hubs to engage four wheel drive. Our farm pickup was a ‘76 F-100—and while it was wonderful to have 4x4 capability, being the kid who had to “turn the hubs” was not a great gig.
A privilege is something you get from the government. A right is something you inherently have, that the government can only infringe for very good reasons. Both have responsibilities.
exactly, a right with responsibilities, like all other rights. And for misusing that right, he’ll go to jail, as he should.
Wait—there were organs missing? How can the police explain that. That isn’t a judgment call, that’s a question of facts. Suffocating in a freak accident doesn’t cause organs to disappear.
nope, they would have killed a couple of dozen rioters, causing a stampede that would have killed a lot more. The rioters didn’t have firearms, according to prosecutors.
Plus, that’s assaulting a police officer--he should have face planted the guy and arrested him.
The rioters were not armed with firearms. So the bloodbath would have been pretty one-sided.
If it was withheld, that’s a huge deal and deserving of sanctions against the state. What doesn’t make sense here is that there is always a record of production. If the video was produced, it would be on the record. The defense can’t say it wasn’t there because they didn’t see it—that’s not proof one way or another. …
I can’t hear the term “jive” without thinking of the movie “Airplane.”
I agree she’s a hypocrite.
