I’ve always been partial to Stor-U-Stuf

got a car stuck once for two weeks.

do I run in strange circles when I think “wait, Nassim Nicholas Taleb is a household name; shouldn’t he be the sort of person that Tesla doesn’t piss off as to not invite giant heaps of negative publicity?”

he’s definitely got that Uncle Junior look going

once they get it to Chile they should be all set.

bingo. that’s a checkpoint. ostensibly the vehicle is parked to be well visible - or there’s another one a few hundred feet upstream. I’ve been turned around by law enforcement for getting too close to a fire; they politely told me where to go to continue my leisure driving while staying the hell out of the first

yes!  see I-280 in the San Francisco Bay Area.  the road, with all its gentle winding curves through the coastal range, has a design speed of 110mph.

that section of 290 is 50, no?  but yes, people do about 77

worlds apart.  where in Boston there are a thousand cars to think about in a given length of road - in west Texas there are ... two. and you’re one of them.  100 is not reckless.  it’s a bit fast but 90 is completely safe.

84, as in connecticut?  as in they can’t decide if the speed limit is 65, 55, or even 45 in a few places?  (okay the 45 in downtown hartford isn’t a terrible idea because it is a terrible road ... but seemingly arbitrary stretches of identically decent road alternate between 55 and 65, and everyone goes 78 anyway)

also most everyone drives about 77 on the freeway in Montana. 71 if they’re pulling a trailer.  speed limit 75 or 80, generally respected.

Montana has always, de facto, had a reasonable and prudent speed limit.

i love offspring but i hate that song.  too whiney.

what the HELL kind of username is that

I like this fact.

> Anyone looking at it can immediately tell, ‘oh, you tried.’”

> just about every major Trump family member, except for Barron.

nah metro Rome is more humid than metro LA for sure.

I’ll bite ... what is it? and is it an internal combustion engine (the radiator implies it) with a lightning bolt motif?

reminds me a bit of the logo on my ‘73 Holiday Rambler camper.
