This why HBO is prestige TV, and Netflix... well anyway.

Uh, that’s kind of the point. Purists will go elsewhere. That’s what makes them pure. And I don’t blame them one bit.
I’ve been coming to Gizmodo since the beginning, and as with most things, it started better then where it ended up... tech-focused with an edge was what we liked. Now it’s a mess of politics and social nonsense with a little tech sprinkled on top so we can spend all day whining about their CEOs.
I’m still searching for the angle where this thing looks good... I have a feeling I won’t find it (except the interior, which is nice).
Except... not always. The Miata is perfect on the perfect road in the perfect conditions. But in every other condition, the Fiesta ST is the better answer. I’ve had both, and this is the truth.
Or don’t, because that looks stupid and everyone agrees.
I was going to dismiss this list entirely for omitting the best-in-class Bumblebee version, but then... nailed it. Number one, as it should be. THIS is the Optimus Prime we should have gotten in the Michael Bay movies.
“I have seen lots of these out in the wild and I am a bit underwhelmed by how tame and ordinary they look aside from the most expensive trims...”
If Killmonger is your benchmark for a villian, I fear we may be using different measurement systems. Killmonger was flat, forgettable, and not particularly threatening. His motivations were believable, but everything else was kind of “meh.”
I can’t wait until everyone goes by they/them, and the conversation becomes, “they choked them and they were confused by the actions of them, but they said it was all in fun until they suddenly acted differently to them.”
This is why Democrats are struggling to win elections... stupid, whacky-ass ideas that aren’t anywhere close to reality, practicality, or even logic.
Gives new meaning to range anxiety.
I’m fine with satire and doing a parody of whoever you’d like... but patronizing your audience and assuming they won’t “get it” will get old pretty quickly. Hopefully that’s understood somewhere in the writers’ room.
I stopped reading at “a manual transmission will not be available.”
The global pandemic isn’t over, and those of us with kids aren’t exactly eager to rush them into a packed movie theater?
That’s too bad, because Shang-Chi was boring AF, and the TV takes on the Marvel Universe have generally been worse, not better, than their big-screen counterparts.
Came for the Motorstorm shoutout... was not disappointed.
So, we’re taking a politically-motivated rumor and running with it... BECAUSE BOEBERT! AND ABORTIONS! AND HEADLINES AND CLICKS!
None of this matters when Reva ruins the feel of the entire show... I can’t tell if the character is poorly written, poorly acted, or both. But she feels tonally and stylistically ill-suited to the series (and the SW universe). Someone like Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon from The Mandalorian would have given the show…
If that’s the case, I have a revolutionary idea... it’s called a FIVE day work whoa. I just blew your mind, didn’t I?
