Good luck with your cable card. The cable companies hate supporting those (like, if you’re using it with a TiVo)... it literally took me about 3 weeks, 20+ phone calls, and more than a dozen Comcast techs to get mine working with a TiVo Roamio. Still, don’t give up... cable is reliable, and that counts for something.

Even as a “research” tool, this isn’t ready for Prime-time (pun intended)... try researching a Focus RS in stealth gray, and you get a Focus ST in blue with a “fully electric variant available.”

Or... just buy a projector (what I’ve used for 12 years running). You get 100+” of high-def glory out of a tiny box that can be mounted in a ton of locations, including hidden on a bookshelf. Easier to do, and the screen is larger. Contemporary projectors look darn good, too.

Ha. Good. I will not only NOT buy an autonomous car, I will do everything in my power to prevent others from making the same mistake. We need more alert DRIVERS, not more automation.

It does look pretty great. It’s polarizing, but every time I see one it catches my eye. The back-end rump is a little odd (the CrossTour is _terrible_ inspiration), but these Civics actually look pretty sweet in real life.

So if this were video, you’d be saying 4K is no better than HD, and HD is no better than SD, and SD is no better than color, and color is no better than black and white? Of course not. At the end of the day, it’s all information—video or sound. To some, the difference is noticeable and important. To others, not so…

So, why do we see a manual tranny in the pic, but only the automatic on VW’s US website? I will NOT buy one with an auto. But with a manual... well, this sure looks fun!
