I finally saw Monster Squad a couple of years ago and didn’t make it all the way through because I’m not the right age for it any more, and upon realizing that, I poured one out for all the pop culture that has past and wept. Not even a manly cry, either, but an ugly cry with blubbering and snot bubbles and everything!

I’ve lived in California for the past five years, and somehow managed to contract this allergy. The odd thing is that I didn’t find a tick on me anywhere. I know what a tick feels like from camping as a kid, and I still sorta do a tick check out of habit. Could have been a little baby tick or something, but still!

This is going to sound weird... but they could have been eating more because they literally weighed more. Nothing psychosocial about it.

McDonalds only switched to 100% white meat about 15 years ago here I think, I liked their old dark meat nuggets. There’s also some frozen prepared nuggets and cutlets that are ground dark meat.

Nugget meat usually is chicken breast.

Yeah, this is less a donug and more a fried chicken ring. True hybridization requires doughnut ingredients to be used, not just the general doughnut shape

Fake chicken? You know chicken can be shredded, right? Do you not eat hamburgers since cow parts aren’t shaped like that? Sausages? Brats? I don’t know what part of the chicken, pig, and baby cow form like Voltron to make kielbasa but I will gladly eat that “fake” meat in its odd “form factor.”

So, shredded chicken is a thing. Also ground beef, sausage, and many other forms of processed meat exist, I’m not sure why the chicken form is that big of a deal. Given this is a gourmet food item, I’d imagine it’s not made of organs and entrails. Then again, it’s made by a Scot, so maybe.
