Of course she can change her mind. All of this Alicia Keys no make up hype is not the fault of the evil media though. She made several statements about it and beauty standards and wanting to be authentic. That’s all well and good. But she claimed to have quit using make up.

I go by a shortened version of my first name too and get this...my mom hates it. She named me with a particular first and middle name with the intention that I would go by my initials. It never caught on, even with her. Everyone called me by my first name.

Brow powder, sunless tanner to warm up your cheeks (bronzer, basically in this situation), and poreless face definer mattifier are all make up to me.

I enjoy buying and applying make up. It’s fun for me. But that’s me- it’s obviously quite fine if it isn’t someone else’s thing. I’m not on the defensive nor do I feel I have to justify my make up use or purchased to anyone.
