Over the last 15 years, I’ve rented literally 100 economy cars (Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, etc.) and my daughters have owned 5, and over many thousands of miles I don’t recall one single mechanical problem. That’s impressive.

F1 is not alone in tech issues with streaming. Many live sports streams that I’ve tried to use (golf, soccer, etc.) are fucked up and not ready for prime time.

EVs will not make a dent in the oil industry for decades.

While suicide is tragic, it’s not that hard to do the math. Multiply how many miles/hours you can drive by the fare rate and it’s obvious that you can’t generate enough income to cover the medallion, gas, repairs, etc.

He was passing inferior cars with drivers that more or less let him go by.

E-cars in a country that thrives because of oil?

Getting to sit in Jim Clark’s Lotus F1 car at Watkins Glen when I was 6 years old.

One of my first jobs was as an art director for a company that designed newsletters for banks. Our production manager, Frank, was a real stickler that looked at every line of type with a magnifying glass- even the financial disclaimers.

Say what you will but Apple hardware is beautiful and bulletproof. The software, that’s another story...

Original poster here. I was way wrong on this, I thought this happened at another location in Tampa where it would be crazy to walk with kids. My big mistake.

As a former bike racer, a bike commuter and an author of a book on cycling, my best advice is to always wear a helmet and assume every driver hates you and wants to kill you or is too distracted to even see you.

It won’t be long before we see phone bill and cable TV bill defaults as news stories too. Way too many people are overextended on these “necessities.”
