Yeah I am worried for her about the ramifications to her law license. I’m all for protecting the public, but just because someone struggles with depression or alcoholism doesn’t mean the state bar/whatever licensing authority needs to automatically be involved. I just feel that it’s ableist.

I wouldn’t worry about that specifically. The thing with misogynistic d-bags is they always find a way to rationalize their toxic view of women. And I think we’ve come a long way with our views on depression. Not super far but it seems like a lot more high profile, successful people have become open about their

I would advise against that, but I understand how you feel.

It never ceases to boggle my mind that the professions with some of the highest rates of depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, and suicide — attorneys and doctors — are the ones that seem to stigmatize mental challenges so often.

You legit think creating that show is a one day a week job? That’s cute.

Stop excusing her racism, projection, and entitlement. If it was a man saying this you’d rightly crucify him for being a self-centered, entitled asshole, and Dunham is no different.

so happy to know i’m not crazy. i read that quote about MBJ & Odell and all i could think was “what an entitled self-absorbed POS.” to single out two black men who probably weren’t even aware she was there and then to be upset that beckham didn’t pay attention to her is just gross. reading her comment, you’d think

They’re going to win the NLDS again, of that much I am confident. Whether they shit the bed again after that, I don’t know. Once we know who they’re playing in the NLCS I’ll be more confident in making a prediction.

I agree. But I now live in a state in the North East. The only Popeye’s around are in neighborehoods that folk like me don’t got to after dark. Shame. There used to be a few that were more accessable. Popeye’s rules.

As exciting as this season has been — and it's the most exciting Cubs season I have ever seen — I also know how much those elevated expectations will hurt if this team crashes to the ground before at least making it to the World Series.

I don’t agree, but it’s all good. The Oceans movies were always suave elegant jaunts with all-star casts attempting to be clever. They’re like modern day Robert Altman films. :)

I am so with you. Not to mention the Clooney reboot is, what, less than 20 years old?

Tangential, but I always smirk when I see a kid who can’t be older than 14 wearing a Nirvana t-shirt. I tell a friend this and they remind me that I’m in my late 20s and I wear Rolling Stones and Beatles t-shirts.

I agree that the whole generation thing is a load of crap. Most of my classmates weren’t listening to Nirvana and wearing Docs and flannel. They were listening to whatever the top 40 pop station was playing. They thought those of who did were losers. I wonder if they now claim it.

An all female heist movie would be nice, but I wish we didn’t have to slap on the Ocean’s name. Why does everything have to be a reboot?

You’re pretty borderline. You only miss the Xer cutoff by a few years. One of the many problems is that there is no “hard cutoff” between generations. It’s more of a spectrum. You probably have a lot more in common with Gen Xers than later millenials.

That’s the biggest difference I see between Millenials and Gen Xers. Millenials see that someone wrote Trump’s name on the sidewalk and have a panic attack over it while running to their safe space. Gen Xers would just grab another piece of chalk and write, “Sucks/Sux” underneath Trump’s name and go on their day.
