Yes, but unlike the Marvel Netflix shows, the "Arrowverse" is mostly populated with one dimentional cardboard cutout characters.

I think the justification for that is that Elektra and the rest of the Fingers of the Hand are 'super undead ninjas' but it is presented kinda poorly.
Also, the last thing you can call Danny's fist is normal(look, it's all glowy and stuff)

Elektra killing Alexandra was the point where the show jumped the shark a little for me.
Elektra really doesn't work as a leader of a criminal organization (her goals are a lot more selfish and she doesn't work well with others).
it wasn't as bad as Diamondback because Elektra is still a compelling character in her own

probably because the only idea they had was:
1. make Xena openly gay
2. ????
3. profit!

just by showing up, Turk elevates this show.
he ain't got time for mystical nonsense and high level shit, he just wants the bulletproof guys and red leather wearing weirdos to leave him alone.

yeah, a relatively weak start for the series.
it felt like we were mostly just touching base with all the characters to remind us who they are and what state they are in(good for new viewers but kinda redundant for returning ones).

there are plenty of Kung Fu related characters to choose from if him being white is the problem.
Shang Chi(Asian) or White Tiger(Hispanic) just to name a few (though neither of them had as much of a connection to Luke Cage)

"Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?"

being Dr. Doom is the last thing I'll remember him by.
most likely I'll remember him for being that half demon on Charmed.

look, I don't know what other people motivations are but for me changing Danny from being a white guy from a privileged family is making too much of a big change from the core of the character (it would be like changing Luke Cage into a white guy from the suburbs, or even less drastic of a change into Hispanic)
those

well there is always those animated miniseries of 'Wyrd Sisters' and 'Soul Music'.
they had…. OK animation for the time…. but other than that the voice cast did a pretty good job.

yes that one was the worst but I usually liked the books about Rincewind and the wizards the least so it's hard for me to tell.
I mostly enjoyed the Guards and Witches books. (where is my promised Guards series???)

YES, now more of these characters and less with the kids.
who knew that following the parts about the antichrist would be the most boring parts in the book.

why? they weren't that bad(not that great either but, eh)
I actually really liked Hogfather, the casting there was great(except for Nobby)

it's the perfect balance between people who didn't see the show and think it's awesome because they liked the previous shows and people who didn't see the show and think it's horrible because they hated the previous shows.

Jeez, how butthurt ARE you that Iron Fist is on this show? (it's like in almost every paragraph)
some of us actually liked that show(not saying it was the best but it was definitely better than the mess that was Luke Cage's second half)

the thing about the books(and the show to some degree) is that they tried to paint most characters in grey colors, most of the truly evil shit people do in this universe can usually be attributed to circumstance or upbringing. (you see parents, if you neglect and set a bad example to your bastards they might just grow

Legion didn't look as generic as this show.

is this is what the show is going to be like? just name dropping stuff from the comics without actually showing them?
at least Agents of SHIELD is actually doing things with the stuff they are referencing.
