I have to imagine it’s part of the main Miyagiverse and will in some way tie in with Cobra Kai. Another reboot would be a missed opportunity, and a waste of the goodwill that the main series has built up over 40+ years.

I mean, the original show had its flaws too, which are becoming increasingly apparent to me as I rewatch it. The new version doesn’t have to be perfect either. I’d be quite happy to give it a go.
