I agree: the tone of this post is just off-putting. “Sometimes I don’t like dealing with the challenges in life that come with being a ninth grader, so I like blowing off steam by bullying some seventh graders.”

Maybe my problem was I used the word “commended,” which people are choosing to interpret as “should have paid me more money, given me a promotion and a Tesla” when all I really wanted was for any kind of acknowledgement whatsoever. Devs and supervisors would get pissed at you all the time for finding a high-severity…

Forgive the tangent, but I’m starting to wonder if we need to take a good, long look at how major games are covered. It feels like the news gets stuck in a feedback loop, where a game that’s good right out of the gate gets basically nothing but glowing praise, and a game that stumbles out of the starting box gets…

Watch some of the bigger streamers. There are normal games that have teams with 20-30 kills. I’ve seen people easily go 1v3 or more. These are people that need to be fighting people at their own skill level. It’s also not just a high number of kills, it’s that they have an average of 10+ kills per game played.

I’ve only had one bad experience in APEX so far. The medic on my team called in their supply drop, the 3 of us took a side and waited for the doors to open. I got purple body armor. The medic got on voice chat and started throwing a fit about how I stole his purple armor from his supply drop. I gave him the body armer…

Especially on console I have been finding the gunplay so frustrating that I feel like when you actually get to combat that I often can’t contribute a damn thing (I was able to improve things over a couple days with some sensitivity/curve adjustments and increasing the deadzone, but I still feel my aim is less reliable…

I could also really use a “sorry I fucked up” button.
