In the convention center they have really really shitty ones.

Sorry. I should say that I believe it happens to people, but it is not an official policy, and truthfully, it runs counter to "official" policy. It probably happens more in Utah and Idaho, but I don't have much experience there. I know and am friends with many ex-mormons, and I have no issues answering that particular

Yeah, in Utah County that is probably the norm. Which is why I would never live there.* I think ex-mormons get a friendlier reception from mormons in other parts of the country. Or at least, in LA they do.

I guess it's possible that that has happened somewhere, but it is not in line with my experience at all. In fact, if an excommunicated person is attending church regularly, you might not even know they were excommunicated unless you checked their membership status, which not everyone has access to.

The RLDS doesn't actually exist anymore, as they merged with another church and are called the Communisty of Christ now. And they are substantially different than the LDS church in a myriad of ways other than female ordination. They didn't leave the church because of female ordination, btw. That came much later.

That is not true. Excommunicated mormons are not barred from socializing with other mormons or attending mormon services.
