I cannot imagine living in a world where someone would watch Justice League and go “Yeah, I want two more hours of that!”
I cannot imagine living in a world where someone would watch Justice League and go “Yeah, I want two more hours of that!”
Do I...do I have to?
I got so excited I mixed up my secret Disney paycheck with my secret Soros paycheck. Hell I haven’t even thought about where I put my secret Bill Gates paycheck. Too hyped for some sweet Sam and Bucky banter.
Snyder doesn’t make trainwrecks so much movies that you have to wade through as if you’re knee-deep in molasses.
Warner Brothers spent $70 million to get the film from a C- to a C. I love it.
Also, even if you appreciate the fact that Snyder has his own visual style as a director, I think this sentence really sums up why it never adds up to a compelling experience: “There’s no such thing as a small moment in a Zack Snyder movie.…
My one hope for all of this: I never have to hear about the fucking Snyder Cut again. I generally try not to yuck other people’s yum. I get that Snyder’s style is not appealing to me and that’s fine. Enjoy what you enjoy.
But damnit I am tired of hearing about this fucking thing.
How does Soros have the time and money to bribe movie critics to diss the DCEU and build forest destroying Jewish space lasers at the same time?
Was it Marvel? Or was it SOROS?
“Models Inc” still has my all-time favorite finale, where Carrie Anne-Moss wakes up in a Brazilian brothel with no money or way to contact home, and has no memory of how she got there or how long she’s been there.
She asks “Where am I?” and one of the girls says “You’re in Hooker Hell.” Carrie quivers “...No!” Roll…
Wow, this sounds like the DOCTOR WHO spinoff CLASS - only with less LGBT, and zero chance Peter Capaldi will drop by and waggle his eyebrows menacingly at the cast.
“Mrs. Columbo” should have been title “Miss Columbo” and feature the daughter of Columbo, who often refer to her mother that we never, ever see.
Dan Hedaya, Kirsten Dunst, Will Ferrell and Michelle Williams before they became famous, that ending with “Dancing Queen”...That movie is a classic.
Eh, I thought Nowhere Man was ok.
Damn, that means I watched two different shows starring Richard Grieco. What was I thinking!?
I confess, I would watch a Maris spin-off in which the character still never appeared, and all the other characters just kept talking about all the weird, wacky stuff she was getting up to off-screen.
Dan Hedaya’s best work was in “Dick”, a terribly underrated comedy about the watergate scandal. his turn as Dick Nixon was great and the movie was surprisingly funny and fun to watch. You could almost believe that’s how the whole thing went down.
More of a brand extension than a spin-off, but the worst spin-off I can recall is Spooks: Code 9, spun-off of Spooks/MI-5.
The shittiness of the sexual politics of Season 6 should be laid primarily at the feet of Marti Noxon. Aside from Once More with Feeling, I think Season 6 is pretty much the year Whedon was least involved in the show.
Dollhouse. Angel. Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Agents of SHIELD. People would argue Community, but I'm not one of them.
The beginning of Heroes was excellent - Oka did such a great job expressing Hiro's absolute joy at discovering his powers. Season1 had great setup, but the season finale hit like the series finale of HIMYM. After all that buildup it was just "What. The. Fuck?"
