Yeah, you have to be willing to make the threat and make it sound convincing, hoping that your bluff is not called and that you don't actually have to follow through.

Given that Tai is a challenge threat, there's no guarantee they would've waited until final four to oust Tai for fear that he'd win that challenge. Instead they probably would've outed him at final six if he lost that immunity challenge, or five if that one, assuming he longer had a HII. So I still say he'd be equally

Good point; I hadn't considered that. All the players who were (foolishly) trying to use Abi-Maria as a goat threw me off, perhaps. (Nobody could get her to do anything either.) Maybe we need a new term for terrible Abi-like or Russell-Hantz-like players who alienate all jury members or possible jury members with

Some criticize Tai for not sticking with two goats, but as we saw, his chances weren't great going that way either. I don't think Scot and Kylo Jason were lying to Julia. Tai was probably equally screwed either way. At least this way he still has an idol.

Me too. Really, that should be a new rule in the game: Nobody should be allowed to hold more than one HII at a time. Adds more chances for paranoia and betrayal.

Wow, it's funny you say that — actually yes, I think Garrison Keillor, though he's a good writer, is disgustingly smug and self-satisfied on his horrible, smarmy, disingenuous radio program. He somehow manages to be simultaneously condescending to small-town midwesterners and condescending to everyone who isn't one.

Ah, so Angell's inclusion is nepotism! Thanks, that explains it.

Nussbaum is great. I hope this means there will be no more substitute work by this idiot named Clive James, whose "Game of Thrones" article in the April 18 issue is eye-searingly incoherent, dull, rambling, poorly-edited sludge. His work reminds me of that of the monumentally overrated Roger Angell, a decrepit asshole

All right, sure, but there's less REASON for blindsides without idols. Overturning the established order is easier with HIIs, even if they're not used, because of vote-splitting, which wouldn't happen without HIIs.

So this isn't as intense as the freaking terrifying blood-spattered outdoor ads in NYC would have us believe? Bummer. Claudia Black was great in Farscape (check it out on Netflix, people). Let me guess, they make her fake an American accent here, don't they? Bleh.

This is why I gave up on the show after the first few seasons. But, I came back to it a few years ago and enjoyed it much more, because now, almost everybody in the game treats it as just a game. Virtually every contestant going in understands the rules and knows what it's about. There are virtually no more hurt

Although I'm in favor of HIIs, I agree they're too easy to find. I think they should be much harder to find. As long as the threat of an idol remains a factor in the game, that's enough to complicate strategy and tempt larger alliances to split their votes, thus making it easier for a smaller alliance to overturn

This would be boring. Aren't the idols are the only thing that makes blindsides necessary? Of course the editors have gotten too addicted to blindsides to some degree, but nonetheless the game would not be as interesting as it is currently without blindsides. If there were no idols, even for a season, players would

That actually sounds like it could be fun, sort of "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship"-style. Has anybody tried this yet? Is it terrible?

Another arrogant, pompous, entitled fan of an arrogant, pompous, entitled, misogynist "artist".

What show has ever been at its best in season six?

Based on the scripts he's written so far, that dipshit new showrunner's MIND is a clean slate. He's going to need Capaldi to advise him on how to write a goddamn freaking script.

The underground is not in agreement with your opinion.

Ugh, so we're going to resurrect this bozo? I never understood his appeal. Can somebody explain it to me? He seemed like just another overrated misogynistic materialistic mainstream rapper to me. Sure, he was charismatic, I guess, but so was Stalin. More Killer Mikes, fewer Biggies, please.

Tai might not be the most strategic player ever, but I seriously doubt he's that dumb (or that nuts). Nobody with half a brain ever changes their mind about anything at tribal council anymore except in the most unlikely of circumstances.
