I don't know about anything past season 3, but season 3 is pitiful, even worse than 1 and 2. I gave up after that. So I'd say don't bother.

I was wondering about this too, but it's extremely risky, and I'm not sure anybody would buy it. Most of these players are pretty savvy. The others probably consider his charisma to be the real danger at FTC, and even if he throws individual challenges, he'll still be very likable and charismatic.

"…often resembles a mockbuster of itself, perhaps titled Jam And The Horoglams and distributed directly to gas stations."

Way way WAY more capable threats. And even so, Mike was kind of a fluke. My memory isn't great so correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the time even a challenge monster with few serious opponents can't go on a run like Mike did.

A small-budget *and* lack-of-imagination thing, you mean.

Here's a puzzle: Is there any way for Joe to get to the end? Joe, your post-merge chances still seem terrible. Do you really think Wentworth, Ciera, and Kass won't vote you out at the first reasonable post-merge opportunity? Why did you bring this up with them right to their faces while forming a supposed final five

Is this a Canadian thing? In the second (?) episode of Dark Matter (now on Netflix in the U.S.!), the characters land on a planet, the first time the show leaves its spaceship, and… the planet is a warehouse. Seriously. OK, OK, I think there's one outdoor establishing shot …which looks suspiciously like the outside of

Reaper started slowly, but after several episodes, it got really good. The dark humor was fun. Ray Wise was an excellent Satan — maybe not quite as brilliant as John Glover's Satan in Brimstone, but overall the show was better than Brimstone. Unlike Brimstone, it was (darkly) funny, and the non-Satan characters were

Shhhh, you're doing everyone a terrible disservice by tempting them to torture themselves with this dreck.

Only two seasons longer? I'm not sure there was an ongoing storyline on this show that should have lasted more than three episodes. Except maybe Lex and Lionel's relationship, and even that went through too many tortured nonsensical reversals.

Hot damn! What a great idea for a fan video supercut. Somebody with even less of a life than me is going to have to take that one on, hopefully.

This show's awful writing wasted so many good actors. John Glover, Rosenbaum, and Mack were excellent. Later on, Hartley was surprisingly decent as Oliver Queen. But none of them could save the show from itself. The lame action scenes were utterly pitiful, the angst-y teen romance was interminable and grindingly

Probably a demo rating, not total viewers. 7th Heaven always excelled in the latter. But like it or not, advertisers do not care about total viewer numbers in prime time. They only care about demos, and they're paying the bills. In prime time, total viewers are only good for bragging rights.

I always wanted more action too, especially because the action scenes were so short and poorly-done. We'd get long scenes of teen soap and romantic angst, and then the action scenes would *literally* be about 20 seconds long, if that. Budget issues or unimaginative writers or poor direction? All three?

Ha ha, I'm a Dr. Who fan and even *I* can't stand a lot of my fellow fans. Some of us are pretty insufferable.

It's probably not all quite as clear as I made it sound above. Based on what little I know about him, Moffat probably prefers it this way because it means he's totally in charge — but it also means a ton of work. I'd imagine it's not cost-cutting, especially not vs. the original 26 years of Doctor Who — original DW

Won't work in this case though — FX is not a broadcast channel. Basic cable can do whatever it likes (theoretically it could show porn), as long as it doesn't upset its advertisers — hence the PTC's new focus on them.

Probably 70-90 years. The show needs extra time to be cancelled, lay fallow for 16 years again, and be revived two or three more times.

Given that the initial plan was for Coleman to leave at the end of last season, do we think that the title "The Magician's Apprentice" was originally going to refer to a new companion? The title still seems to have come out of nowhere. That episode contained a fair amount of fluff (IMO), time that seems like it might

Strongly disagree. Gold's scoring is as atrocious as ever. The music in this episode was frequently maudlin and insipid, and mixed too loudly, as it often is. I'd like to get a nice cow brand, heat it up, and sear the words "TRY SOME SUBTLETY SOMETIME" into Gold's forehead.
