The POI proslytizers here at the AV Club convinced me to watch the show. If you were one of them, then I believed you. I'm now a fan because of people like you.

Doesn't this happen almost every year? Sometimes it's just a minor indie flick or three, and sometimes it's a huge one like this, but I'm pretty sure it usually happens, because the studios like to wait until the last minute and then blast the Oscar voters so they can't forget and so the hype can't peak and decline…
Caution: A total grammatical flip-out is about to occur.
Critics get special screenings and get to see stuff before we do.
Yeah, you and me and about four other people, it seems like. The rest caught up via Netflix.
Come on, have some mercy on us cable-loving primitives who can't stand not to have immediate access to the newest episodes of the latest prestige cable dramas as soon as they air, and yet don't want to throw in a few more bucks to ALSO get Netflix because we're paying enough as it is, plus our DVRs are already jammed…
A.
I may be alone on this, but I think bright blue eyes are way more terrifying than green eyes. Green eyes are a little creepy sometimes, but blue eyes are soul-piercing horrors from some kind of demon dimension. Although certain shades of blue are much more frightening than others.
That's OK, that's definitely one of the milder spoilers I've been exposed to lately. Some jackass at EW or some stupid place spoiled a huge event on Sons of Anarchy (although that's a dumb show anyway and I don't know why I'm still watching it) for me a couple of weeks ago, so compared to that, this isn't even a minor…
Holy crap, it more than tripled my prediction! WTF? A 4.6? Jesus. A completely different planet, indeed. I had some inkling of that, but didn't realize the extent. It also skewed fairly heavily outside of the 18-49 demo, presumably older. There are a couple of comments over at TVBTN from people saying goofy stuff like…
I'd like to see Borgen, but even *I* don't get Link TV, the channel that carries it, and I have Verizon Fios, a pretty generous provider in the U.S. with regards to small, obscure channels. So that's probably most of the problem right there. At least The Returned is on Sundance. Americans have probably at least HEARD…
Thanks for this coverage, Erik. This really helps make it clearer for me what's happening in this show.
Wait, what sex seances? I'm so confused. Did we ever see any sex seances? I think Sundance must have chopped those bits out, maybe? Fuck.
Vague outline? If you say so. Fair enough. I sure didn't see it.
I hated Twitter at first too, but I've come to regard it as occasionally good for exercising conciseness and verbal compression. But stupid people will use it stupidly. If it didn't exist, people would say stupid shit somewhere else and probably just as stupidly. It's just a tool.
The use of apostrophes in anything you've typed here is completely unacceptable. "1970's" was once considered acceptable, but not any more. That is OUT. It's "1970s" all the way now. You must still be IN the 1970s.
Actually, I don't agree with Sandifer that Twin Peaks deserves to be lumped in there. I adore Twin Peaks. However, it's true that Lynch and Frost went into it without much of a plan. I despise most shows that don't have any kind of plan (Twin Peaks gets a pass for other types of brilliance). Most shows should at least…
Ha ha, right, but they'd have to pay a different huge country star big bucks each week for that! Next up: Vince Gill in the Barber of Seville!
I don't watch football and I didn't see any promos for this episode, so I just figured it would be a boring, routine pagonging of Hayden. Holy crap, was I surprised. I actually screamed when the votes tied twice and they drew rocks. I've never seen it happen live before! ROCKS!
What's your over/under on this skewing as old as Dancing With The Stars? I'm going to say a 1.7 in adults 18-49 and 8 million total viewers.
