Well yeah the 5 cyl engine blocks were nearly identical from 1993 to now, hence me agreeing with him about the early cars. That reliability is very well known. The reason for not thinking the later ones were reliable were electrical, transmission, and throttle valve issues.

I don't think you know what NP means.

"Although the price is a bit on the high side, I was on the fence until he stated that it's his "summer drift project" and showed a pic of it drifting. Ugh."

It's stupidly low but it's hard to argue with a RWD V8 5-speed anything that probably weighs right on 3,000lbs. Hell it probably even cruises at 30mpg in that light car.

And "they" will be dead eventually, so...

Well damn, you've got me interested. Does that not apply to XC90s of that same generation though? Seems like they'd share a lot.

You can if sometime around Week 6 you convince the NFL that Buffalo intentionally lost too early in 89. Sure it's pretty graphic fanfic for Bills fans, but what the hey:

I agree with you about everything you said, except the early V70s, they were reliable. I have their second wildest model from 98 (V70T5) and it has about 280,000 miles on all the original drivetrain parts except the starter and the CV axles. This is a car that's been modified with higher boost for nearly 100,000 of

Jesus, all three of those greenhouses look like the exact same size.

"New S90"

I'm gonna guess it was the same thing that happens to most of us when a car starts sliding out of control on ice: say "shit! shit! shit!" and let momentum and gravity do the thinking for the next couple seconds.

Damnit why didn't she interview the driver: "Sir, you just wrecked on live TV, how pissed is your wife right now?"

Like that current record economic growth we're having exactly six years after Bush left office.

This is awesome.

Instinctively attempted an Edmund Premington reference but apparently the internet can't supply an image of Bob Odenkirk's greatest role. So I'll leave you with this:

Considering heat is a major reason that automatics fail, that seems like that'd be a big plus. Maybe I will buy one.

Which year was yours? I wonder if their computer setup would let you swap in a newer, more reliable trans.

Because different. When was the last time you saw a modified first gen Q45?

Interesting. Did you change the fluid much?

I get the name and all, but that's apples and oranges.
