Well, Coolio, that's what happens when you mess with Weird Al.

That was my thought, too. Stuff like that is incredibly hard on relationships.
LOVE that movie. And yeah, he was incredible in it. Like, where you can't even think, you just stare open-mouthed.
She will always be Riff Randal to me. :-)
True. I'm often afraid with independents that the food will be horrible and then what do I do?
Ugh, ditto on Applebees. I used to go once in a great while, until the day I ordered a steak that had a tube in it. Never went there again. (Didn't finish the steak either.)
Exactly. It may not be great amazing food at the OG, but it's always at least decent. I've never had something there that was just inedible; I've never left feeling like I wasted my money.
Wow, really?
I tended bar at an Olive Garden for about six months. Not a great job but not a horrible one. But dude, the pasta e fagioli soup the cooks at my particular OG made was amazing—better than at the other local stores—and I brought food home for me & my husband after every shift. We still talk about that and how much fun…
Wait, you mean Matthew Weiner got Peggy pregnant, too?
Lol, that was my first thought: But Jojo wouldn't cheat on her taxes!
Sure, abortion rights aren't under such fire. But the institutional and social sexism is, in my experience, worse than in the US.
In your doctor's defense...the only way to diagnose an ulcer with absolute certainty is an endoscopy, and the treatment for that is exactly what she gave you: acid-reducing drugs. I'm not saying it was cool not to confirm it, just that as far as treatment goes it wouldn't have made a difference.
Best analogy ever. Awesome, seriously.
Talk to your doctor, if you can (and get your eyes checked if you haven't lately!) about giving you something else/something more effective. Talk to the pharmacist at your local pharmacy—they know a lot more than some people think. :-) But seriously, the biggest one is just take them with food. Ibuprofen is really…
Thank you!
As @Lar Har says, it's codeine mixed with ibuprofen. You can't buy straight codeine OTC here; it's either mixed with ibuprofen or paracetemol (acetaminophen), and paracetemol does not carry the ulcer risk that ibuprofen does. So she must have been taking codeine & ibuprofen pills.
I can't believe one of your classmates' parents didn't offer to drive you home!
I can't stand parents who encourage that sort of thing, to be honest. Grow up and stop trying to live through your kids.
Ha!
