“ it’s not a criminal statute, and not meant to prosecute rape charges.”
“ it’s not a criminal statute, and not meant to prosecute rape charges.”
Says the man who slays “proves innocent” to an actual lawyer. But oh, well.
“Schools should focus on helping victims heal.”
“The alternative is to make a university wait until a rape conviction has been handed down to discipline/expel the rapist. Most of the time, that conviction will never come, leaving the university with no power to make their campus a safer place by disciplining or removing a rapist”
Also, to add salt to the wound, one of the rapists friend’s falsely accused the rape victim of cheating on a test. It went to Honor Court. Rapist was on the Honor Court.
I had a classmate in law school that had this situation. The rapist tried to site 2 rows behind her in class. As there was no conviction and no other class to send her to, the only thing they could do was leave her in the class, but have her sit right in front of the professor and force him to sit in the back.
Apparently you’ve missed the part where “found innocent” is not a thing. No one is EVER found innocent. The only thing that occurs is they are found “not guilty” because of lack of evidence.
