Literally no has said they expect most/many people imprisoned to be like the three discussed in the article. No one has said anything of the sort. Your making a point in regards to nothing. You’re responding to a point never made.

Having options in prison increases motivation. Treating people in prison less than human, letting them be idle (for years and even decades) with nothing to look forward to, while their interpersonal social skills erode destroys any motivation.

Of course not every prisoner wants a liberal arts education but, if you care to look into it, education (from liberal arts to trades like plumbing, wood work, mechanic, electrician) have shown to be not just the most effective at reducing recidivism but the only effective way to reduce recidivism.
