See, the difference is I’m not questioning Trump’s legitimacy as president. He won it fair and square in our shitshow of an election process. I don’t literally believe he’s not the president like the Obama haters did. But he does not represent anything I stand for or any of the values that actually make America great.

2017. Tons of local elections are off year. The New Jersey and Virginia Gubenatorial elections are as well, and are probably the most high profile ones to start the message. It starts now.

Do you live in the Boston suburbs and couldn’t make the protests this week. My wife is planning a protest tomorrow (Saturday November 12th) at the Common. This is a chance for those feeling down and isolated to find like minded people and vent a little of that rage, anger, and sorrow they have among friendly, like

I posted a pic of the “Not My President” sign that’s in my window and a lot of people on here gave me shit about it. You can respect the law (yes, he is my president) while symbolically rejecting everything the man stands for (no, he will never be my president). Good for these kids. Once the dust is settled I hope

Professional protesters — Look at that, Trump is a job creator and he isn’t even in office yet.

I plan to give Trump every ounce of respect that the right showed to Obama for the last eight years.

It’s time to put aside the old ways. It’s time to start giving a shit about poor and marginalized people again. It’s time to stop taking black votes for granted. It’s time to step outside the city and walk into a farm and shake a hand.

I’ll take any ray of hope at this point... still in zombie mode.

As a former resident, this warms my heart. Alabama as a whole has some jacked-up politics, but it’s nice to see this.

And Jefferson Co. Tx just elected the state’s first black woman sheriff.

We need to start educating people about why mid-terms are so important. So many don’t know the three branches of government or even what SCOTUS does. I was a bit shocked the other day to learn that my 40-something, well-to-do, liberal boss didn’t even know the difference between electoral college and popular vote! She

Every gain gives me hope. Every seat we fill gets us that much closer to the bully pulpit.

Also, (an you may have seen this message elsewhere)but if you live in the Greater Boston area, couldn’t make the rallies this week and desperately need to find like minded people, my wife is starting a protest in the Commons tomorrow at 1:00 if you just want to find some solidarity.

Yup, wrote the same yesterday. The time to start is now. Here’s a good reference page for all the elections coming up in every state for the next two years. Refer to it often. It has dates for local, state and national elections. Even filing dates (if you decided to run yourself). Get registered to vote if you’re not

nor will he realistically expect Trump to.

I hope Chuck Schumer is ready. He’s going to be the most powerful Democrat left in our government after the inauguration.

This is a huge thing on the internet right now but it’s such a bad idea. The Electoral College making Clinton president will surely cause a HUGE upheaval. We’re seeing the protests now but the protests from the right would be insane.

538 had a good article about state governments falling into the same gridlock trap we see in Washington. Democrats need to start focusing on state and local more than ever. Especially in blue dots in the middle of the country (like where I live). If they want to beat the GOP, it’s the only way.

Harry Reid seems so milquetoast, and then when you least expected it he came out swinging.
