Iowa is just going to continue being Iowa.

What great timing with this revelation. I can now run into oncoming traffic in peace.

He also revealed that the sky is blue. Republicans are disputing this claim and calling him a traitor.

It’s easy to say that now but she can’t be in five places at once. She also had to concentrate on North Carolina and Florida. Look at all the time and resources spent in these two states. She badly needed these states.

It’s just locker room talk!

The Republicans aren’t going to do a damn thing but the Democrats can run someone charismatic and likable enough to defeat this monster. Who that is remains to be seen. You may end up being right.

Why is it that so many associated with Trump have absurdly punchable faces?

I don’t disagree but I wonder how much more campaigning in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania would have helped? Look at how much time, money and resources was spent in Ohio and she got hammered there.

Women voted for Trump too and you know it. 55% of those eligible to vote are women. They alone have the power to stop someone like Trump. A lot chose not to.

70 million people voted for Obama in 2008. 59.6 million voted for Clinton (she still won the popular vote). Democrats have won the popular vote in every election since 1988 with the exception of 2004. Democrats need to find out what happened to the 10+ million people who voted for Obama in 2008.

Rural whites in

But racism is alive and well. They got that going for them......

I had AINV back in March of 2009 when it was under $2/share. I remember back then people were talking about bankruptcy. I’m glad they have survived and prospered all these years later. They have a good business model.

TV executives did the same thing in 1978. I thought Abe Vigoda did a pretty good job.

I blame the polls more than Nate. 538.com is not a polling website. All they do is collect the polls and put them into a model. What is spewed out are the results of that data.

It makes me sick to think of all the time I wasted from May - Novermber 8th focusing on the polls, trendlines, etc. I went to these sites multiple times a day. What a waste of time since almost all of them dropped the ball. Nate Silver’s model was even off.

I guess Twitter is going to try to leave the trolls with nothing to do but focus on their own miserable lives. It’s going to get ugly.

I got burned pretty bad on BDCs and REITS as well. I had PSEC and ARR for YEARS and the PPS of both collapsed, eliminating all the dividends that I had accumulated. Chasing high yields never worked out well for me and it is a strategy that I pursued for a few years.

Wait, what? He’s had a “feud” with Rosie O’Donell for years over who knows what to the point that he was babbling about her during a PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER. This thin skinned clown holds grudges for years.

You’re right. I was gambling and losing. I was looking at the 10-12% daily swings and got greedy. That’s not really investing, that’s just being stupid and I got what I deserved. I really couldn’t stop doing this which is why I closed by brokerage account.

Thanks for the great advice Sue. Just from the other comments, low cost index funds sound like a great place to start. I’m going to start researching the best ones and incrementally putting money in them.
