I’m really going to miss the Obama. A nice, classy, hard working person that I admired and respected and was always proud to say is My President. At least he’s leaving with approval ratings of +50%.

White supremacy reigned strong across Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Let’s see how the people who voted for Trump in these states feel in four years.

Do Jill’s votes even matter that much? Clinton is ahead in the popular vote but nowhere close in the electoral college. Those votes would have to be perfectly distributed across Pennsylvania and Michigan to really matter. They wouldn’t make a difference in states like Wisconsin, North Carolina and Florida.

Great post. This is not a good time for us but these are all beliefs and principles that I will never stop fighting for. Better days are ahead for us.

Meh. Ordinarilly I do, but it’s a rather lame and harmless troll. Not really getting under my skin. We’ll see how happy Trump supporters are in four years. Something tells me that their failure in life goes beyond who is POTUS.

I grew up in Peoria and can understand the anger there. Caterpillar is not doing well at all and there have been thousands of layoffs. Caterpillar is the only game in town and if you can’t get a job there, there aren’t many other places to work. That’s why I don’t live there anymore.

Let’s see how Donald does and we’ll talk in four years. There’s a Chinese curse that states “May you get what you wish for.”

I like it better than incompetence. I have no problem supporting someone who can actually do the job.

As bad as we are feeling, can you imagine how she feels? All that time, money and effort for nothing! She also has to concede to someone who has threatened to jail her.

I’m with her....still.

I actually live in Naperville (just easier to say Chicago) and it isn’t that bad here. I have no idea what the final vote tally was, but I’m sure it was mixed. I grew up in Central Illinois where it is a lot redder.....

Pretty much. Latinos can come out in huge numbers in California and Texas, but it won’t change the electoral count. One state is going blue the other is going to be red. It doesn’t matter if Clinton wins California by millions or hundreds. This is why the electoral college is dated and needs to be reformed. It doesn’t

You are correct. He believes that guns should be as easy to obtain as a bagel. He also believes in legalizing all drugs (something I would be okay with). He believes in little to no government. His platform isn’t going to fly with anyone who is a standard democrat and is more in line with a chaos candidate (Trump).

I live in Chicago but do a lot of work throughout Illinois. You don’t have to venture far outside the city before finding lots of “Hillary for Prison” or “Trump that Bitch” signs. There aren’t enough people in the rest of Illinois to offset the Cook County vote, but I had no idea the rest of the rural Midwest would

Great post. Those who voted for Trump do not make up the majority of this country as Clinton is actually leading in the popular vote by a slim margin. Some of them are probably decent people whose anger is misdirected. We are getting more diverse as a country and Trump and his supporters can’t stop that from

I understand the anger, but finger pointing and blaming someone like Johnson isn’t going to change anything. We failed to win the rural vote in the Midwest and that has nothing to do with Johnson. We can learn a lot from this election, but fringe third party candidates aren’t going away. We will never know how Johnson

I understand the anger, but it is misdirected. There is nothing that Donald can do to stop automation, which is a much bigger problem than the loss of factory jobs that just required high school degrees. There’s also that little problem of electing someone who is grossly unqualified to do the job.

Clinton may actually win the popular vote. That means little in end but that will tell you that this is not what a majority of the country wanted. The rural Midwest won this election for Donald. Let’s not let this happen again.

Polls? They did such a great job with this election, right? If you want to feel like you are a vicitm and are a target, go ahead, but it’s silly to think that another candidate would have appealed to the rural midwest when they resoundly rejected anyone with political experience or qualifications.

I doubt it. Sanders wasn’t going to appeal to the rural Midwest either and you know it. They, like you, are angry and just want to be victims. However, their anger is misdirected and you’ve elected someone who isn’t qualified at all to be President. Good for you, but your life isn’t going to get better because of it.
