There is so much competition for userbase now it’s wild a dev would risk losing it. People don’t care THAT much about your game, there are thousands of other games people want to play as well these days, giving them an excuse to do so is insane.

Rinse and repeat

Not being shitty here, but it’s linked in the article:

In 40 years people will describe an adventure movie as a fun riff on the Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock classic The Lost City.

If you’re knocking a Kirby game for it’s simplicity then you haven’t been paying attention for the past 30 years

can’t wait to see what the generation of filmmakers inspired by weird youtube bootleg videos of a gta5 modelled spider-man impregnating shrek yields.

I think it is interesting that Romancing the Stone when it came out seemed derivative of old adventure serials and movies, but now itself is inspiring ripoffs, since we have completely forgotten the movies that it was ripping off. I don’t know if this is depressing or not. I like Romancing the Stone though & would

NANCY DREW, BABY! So happy to see it renewed for another season! It really is an amazing show, and I’m glad to see that rewarded.

I gave Nancy Drew a shot when it premiered because I was bored and wanted something new to watch, and I am still surprised at how much I love it.

Wow, turns out there are lore nerds for........Early Edition. Fascinating

No. This is a reboot. There is no cat. The news will come in the form of a website. The yet unnamed news website is, unfortunately, locked behind a paywall and, as a result, many, many people die.

It’s 2022. She works in the news business, so half the peoply she talks to won’t believe her. And even if what she warns will happen actually happens, they’ll accuse this news producer of making up her own news. They should’ve just named the character Cassandra.

Is Star Wars not “for girls”?  Or the MCU?  Aren’t these ideas of “for girls” and “for boys” concepts we are getting away from in society?

I really wouldn’t blame Platinum for this. Remember SquEnix dropped the ball huge on the live service Avengers game too and somehow the single-player Guardians of the Galaxy game turned out to be great.

I had just put a comment on another article about how Platinum might be the only developer whose name I trust enough to buy pretty much anything they put out.
