My two cents as someone with ASD: I think it is possible for a neurotypical to play an atypical and get it right. But...it’s hard. It requires a lot of research and no matter how close you try to come, you’re simply NOT on the spectrum and you’ll never be able to nail the nuances with 100% accuracy.
