*not sure if serious*

I feel like it’s become virtually impossible to pass the AV Club Purity Test at this point....it’s like Leona Helmsley inspecting a hotel. They’re always going to find SOMETHING.

There’s no way he even knows what Twitch is. It has to be some young alt-righter working for him who set it up.

His voice is too deep for some of them, and he does like every male Black character in animation right now. We need more than one!

The best thing about Hollywood Video IMO was they also owned a chain of video game stores called Game Crazy that were built into most of their HV locations. It was the one competition GameStop couldn’t buy out, until the day both of them expired at once and GameStop obtained the Monopoly Jerk License.

Congratulations....I have read many headlines about this news today, and that was by far the best version.

There was a 1970s cartoon called Mission Magic that bears enough of a resemblance to Magic School Bus that I’ve wondered if Joanna Cole and Bruge Degen ripped some ideas from it. It is about a frizzy-haired magic teacher named Miss Tickle who takes her class on wild adventures. Also, Rick Springfield is involved.

Geek gibberish, to me, is stuff like “I’ve boosted this IBM 486 with 256K of RAM.” There was none of that talk here, it was just generic action-parody dialogue.

There has been a Mortal Kombat reference on every DC show this season, and given that WB owns the property now, I suspect it was a mandate.

Oof, that would mean a LOT more Mike in the show, so....I dunno, man.

Barbie doll, Barbie doll
Tried to save his life
GI Joe was on the go
And stabbed her with his knife

I remember a ton of these....

Ryder has been in a lot more things than Gibson these past fifteen years.

The Oprah episode should be.

I only remember her doing it once, and they immediately pointed out it was wrong in the episode itself, and not in a joking manner either.

Her name is Evelyn Deavor. It was obvious from the first press release.

Well, whaddya know. Unions aren’t a magic cure-all for your problems and they’re just as susceptible to corruption as the institutions they target. Whoda thunk?

It’s negated by the ending. He gets to live his life after all. Not only that, those kids actually get to live from the 60s through the 90s again and they know everything that’s going to happen in that time frame (well, she does, and she could just tell him). How weird must that have been?

It doesn’t matter whether we like it or not, it’s going to autoplay on every page anyway.

In this case, I doubt it was product placement, since there is no value in having your brand barely readable among a bunch of other text for half a second.

“It’s probably good enough, just get it on the shelves”.....famous last words of the Atari board of directors.

Autism is a pretty tricky one to nail, though. Especially when every person on the spectrum is different.
