Given that Career Opportunities takes place almost entirely within a Target, and the main character has the Bullseye™ plastered on his back constantly...how did they get away with painting anything about the store in a negative light? Surely the store execs were involved somehow; maybe they were just more open-minded…

SyFy really fumbled there. Not only did they unceremoniously dump a buzzworthy season in one marathon, but they did it on the same weekend Twin Peaks came back. That amazing season got NO attention and probably half the viewers. I haven’t checked, but I bet that stupid network hasn’t even placed it on demand anywhere…
