To play devil’s advocate, mutual funds have operating costs, too. They will certainly appreciate more and faster(generally speaking) but I don’t know of a single one that can put a grin on your face like an NSX could. At least not repetitively and not without bending you over a barrel in penalty taxes.
I’d be happy if they just taught people how to be good drivers on the street.
How many dollars required for acquisition?
Is this what they collaborated on with BMW?
So Audi built a Subaru Outback?
Magnetic sounds scary if it mounts on the inside, which it looks like it does. A good bounce of the head on the pavement and now you’re missing an eye.
I know multiple people that have or have had them. You can pry it out of their cold, dead hands. They absolutely love them - it’s a very versatile vehicle for an average homeowner.
I typically put mine over the leathers to try and keep them dry but solid tip.
I use Frogg Toggs, which work relatively well. A couple of plastic bags over your feet and inside your boots work remarkably well to keep you dry and somewhat warmer. Heated grips are a must on any bike and are cheap and easy enough to do that there’s no excuse not to have them. Works wonderfully if the temperature…
At what cost and with what further resources? The amount of fossil fuels required for the acquisition of components just for the initial build of an electric car is hardly ever mentioned, they just say “zero emissions”. Not to mention that a large part of electricity is generated via coal burning plants. The copper…
I work in a technology field. After seeing how careless some companies are with technology in general, it’ll be a cold day in hell when I get into an autonomous car and let it drive me to the end of the parking lot, letalone anywhere else. Most companies are paying absolutely no attention to the security of even the…
I don’t see electric cars as any less of a risk or any more viable than one powered by hydrocarbons. Lithium is a finite resource just like oil. Maybe even more so. So are rare earth metals.
Until the rule book gets adjusted...
Good stuff. Could it be that the bigger factories don’t consider this as effective? Or maybe they had a hard time figuring out how to make the ECU work without having sensors dictate the timing?
Right. Why would I spend the money on it if it isn’t going to last? Different market segment, I suppose. Not all of my rides are that long, very few, actually. My GoPro battery doesn’t last that long, either, but I can swap batteries in that. <shrug> It’s an evolutionary step...
I don’t plan to. On a more serious/relevant note, I wonder what weight distribution is like and how it would do on a 6-8hr touring ride along with wind buffeting at highway speeds.
My helmet is one of the few sacred places I have left where I can disconnect from the distractions of technology. Get off my lawn.
I want to know whether @DougDemuro bought one or not.
Add .5mm preload to the rear shock
