Let’s be honest, most of them hate it because the main character is a woman.

Brandon Lee’s incident was a bizarre and never before seen confluence of circumstances that changed basic protocol and everyone involved wasn’t just contrite, but it sent them into a spiral of depression that some barely recovered from. And there was a court case, but it was civil, so behind the scenes, and a private s

I don’t get what the “purists” are up in arms about.

I never played Fallout Shelter, the vault management sim, but I guess concentrating so much story here is something for those fans?

I wasn’t around during that, but I think the addition of live rounds is probably the key difference. A squib, improperly checked or not, is still a reasonable expectation on a movie set. A real bullet is not. Also, I believe a lot of modern safety regulations regarding guns were drawn up in the wake of that incident,

I don’t necessarily disagree that 18 months is harsh, but I’ve been basically incompetent at my job hundreds of times and never got anyone killed or even injured. Actually given Cogent’s information, I’d say what might have been an overly harsh sentence actually seems much more reasonable. I mean, say what you will

While Gutierrez-Reed is probably right in considering herself a scapegoat for a production that went off the rails in terms of safety, there’s also this:

It’s funny (and also sad) how much the Fallout gamers over on Steam hate the Fallout show because it isn’t canon. And because the primary protagonist isn’t murder-thieving her way across the wasteland like they would.

It was an ‘eccentric’ setlist. Obviously a number of classics and great album cuts, but considering it was 1 hr gig in the States to a general festival crowd, far too many from their low-key new album. Something closer to a condensed version of their Hyde Park sets, plus 1 track each from last 2 albums, might have

Literally why do you even care. Most people who associate Bethesda with the licence probably weren’t even alive when numbers before 3 existed, so he’s probably more of an expert than you are.

We also saw one of these robots in the show’s opening party scene, an indication that despite all other appearances the “Great War” is still a while in the future and we just happened to have reverted to a ‘50s-esque society.

...crash course on who gets to eat who out in the Wasteland.

I think my oldness might be showing here - “Maybe” is really central to Fallout 1, playing over that incredible ending, and so it’s the song I most closely associate with the games. “World On Fire” is also a biggie, but “Maybe” will always be THE Fallout song for me. Zur’s soundtrack is a whole other, great thing -

For context: I’ve probably played through Fallout, Fallout 2, and New Vegas three or four times apiece; I’ll admit I’ve only played the Bethesda games once each, and didn’t do any of their DLC. My apologies for missing this enemy from the DLC of 4!

My terrible, horrible secret is that I don’t like Fallout 4 (which means I only played, what, 80 hours of it) and so I never played the DLC. I missed the Gulper, apologies!

Very surprisingly, it’s turning out to be a pretty good show.

“The wasteland has its own golden rule. Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time.”

The show clearly isn’t taking the position that they should all just be killed.

That’s interesting that book focused on that. I imagine it was cut from this show for more pragmatic reasons, i.e. having limited space to explain foreign cultural concepts in a limited series. But you’re right that the Japanese probably wouldn’t love it. And the series already touches very lightly on the invasion of

Absolutely unacceptable lack of Fuji-sama in this episode.
