He wasn’t great. But I can’t really hold a 9 year old accountable for a bad performance. It’s not like he’s a professional who had spent decades honing his craft or dreaming about the project. Unlike the guy who wrote his part and directed his performance.

People should really give discovery a chance. It’s not amazing, but it’s not as bad as it’s been made out to be, either. I assume it’s reputation is so shit because it contains LGBT+ people and stars a minority, in the modern era of completely unhinged discourse.

It started out in the past.

Hey, you made some good points.

I’m perusing the comments here and primary take-away (as a non-player) is that the game got harder, and people playing at higher difficulties are mad at the idea of playing at lower difficulties because pride.

Ive made my peace with this show before and won’t repeat myself on that front.

I feel like with this and Larian Studios receiving toxicity, it’s almost as if this doesn’t really happen because of “bad games,” but because gamers are entitled Karens who don’t recognize the human cost of the games they played.

As far as I’m concerned, all developer interactions with gamers should just be a double mid

The people who are whining already bought your game, they are literally the players least likely to leave since they’re posting on your discord. Those players should be told they can’t have cookies for dinner every night.

I mean, I’d think Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street-theme weddings would be weird too.

Usually I’m against non-apologies, but in this case it’s exactly the kind of apology the whiners deserve.

The customer isn’t always right, etc.

Like, I get it, professionalism for its own sake has value and you don’t want to turn away customers. But I feel like the capital “G” gamers harassing the devs aren’t really owed niceties and decorum like that, and it’s just that general air of entitled consumerism that makes us

Honestly, I’m pretty pumped about the re-balancing, it’s nice to be able to play with more than just the one set of gear again.

“I’m sorry if people took offence [sic] to it, I’m not going to engage with the community anymore, since as many people have pointed out; we have a community team that should handle that,” Eriksson said.

100% agree. The way Gamers give, uh, “feedback” can read a little hostile sometimes and I can see how a human dev on the receiving end of it might react in a human way. Not to say it’s okay, but I’m inclined to forgive a one-time incident. The community reaction to that patch has been completely insane and out of

I think one of the reasons so many Potter adults (and Disney adults, and whatever other way-too-hardcore fandom of children’s entertainment you can name) are unable to let go is because nothing ever ENDS anymore.

The sports thing is a solid analogy, as is the idea that the real problem is picking any small sliver of culture and making it your whole personality.  I was a lit major, so I love me some Shakespeare, but the people who only read Shakespeare are also weird as fuck.

I think they more you tend to break down what’s actually happening, the more complicated it gets. Something like Space Jam 2 is a great example. The original film is super-mid ‘90s, not just because that’s when all the athletes involved were in their prime, but also because it was riding and in many ways capped off an

Huh? People from all generations can think weddings themed around entertainment franchises are stupid.

Devs didnt lie or say anything wrong.

I mean, one thing I will say is that I dislike the idea of entertainment being dragged along kicking and screaming with its audience as it grows.
