I found the game kind of meh. It had some interesting aspects that were mostly counterbalanced by boring and/or tedious elements. I get the “mixed” status on steam because that is right where I’d put it. I gave up about 25 hours in cause it just wasn’t holding my attention.

Okay, fine. Let me rephrase: “if you already are paying for GamePass, then you will not have to spend any extra money to play Starfield”.

Some of the BIG timesinks (bases) aren’t actually useful and don’t do anything. Likewise, you don’t need to do a bunch of crafting once you get the ability to put mods on weapons. Spaceflight is neat but once you get a good ship you’ll cheese everything really easily. And there’s a design issue in that NPCs don’t

A reality competition producer is a terrible person. Who’d have thunk it?

As Upton Sinclair said “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” Or maybe this guy is just bad at understanding things generally.

The industry’s obsession with broad sweeping NDAs and the ‘mystique’ of game dev is ridiculous and one of the many reasons it’s such a terrible industry to work in, can’t talk about hostile work conditions if you can’t talk about the work period.

“He’s talking about us, and we’re not making any money directly from it?  Shut.  It.  Down.”

Even if it’s a situation where he’d legally be determined to be in the right, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worth the fight for one dude against a giant corporation.

Considering how that was phrased, it sounds less like this was Rockstar/2K generally asking him to do this, and more the Housers specifically personally asking him to shut it down.

Which, you know, [mimes jerk off motion]

On Rockstar’s part, this is a case of zero to gain, reputation to sink further than it already is.

It’s still baffling to me that calling out a government for its mass killing of civilians—which include scores of women and children— is somehow seen as controversial and offensive. You know who called out Israel’s government before Oct. 7? Israelis. Protesting their radical right wing government’s attempts to

Pretty fucking wild how the AV Club… is omitting the ACTUAL antisemitic part of Barrera’s posts

I really didn’t read it anti-semitic. I am surprised at this kerfuffle as her comments seem pretty mild and measured. Susan Sarandon on the other hand, definitely anti-semitic. Tankies like her are always like that.

She didn’t say she supports Hamas. She says she is against Palestinian civilians being killed which you appear to be very much in favor of.

“My favourite kid’s book? ‘Animal Farm’, no question. Those funny little talking animals, coming together, solving problems with the power of friendship, it gets me every time.”

Snoop Dogg revealed what we kind of all knew all along...

love how plug and play celebrity culture is.

I don’t believe that for even one second. Think about it: it’s a non-profit with a for-profit subsidiary. The whole point is to use the non-profit status to justify their theft (“the stolen material in the datasets are for research purposes!”), protect them from criticism (we’re not just trying to line our pockets, we

“Became” a circus?  It’s been one since the beginning. It’s the same all the same idiots running the crypto scams now moving into the AI scam and the same tech “journalists” are falling for the same scam all over again.

French GQ responded to Scott’s comments by farting in his general direction.
