It has been mentioned before that Raj made out with a man disguised as a woman at comic-con. He still made out with him despite knowing that the person was male, and so I think the joke was a reference to his level of desperation for sexual contact.

My favorite part was the thermos. Seeing how Robin mentions that Jed (and thereby Ted) got his penis stuck in a thermos was a nice reference to how Barney got Ted to play nice in front of Nora by simply saying "the thermos."
