I’m a heterosexual Man/Male so I don’t really understand it, But do alot of women not like female game characters that are revealing like this? Is it strictly due to the devs being mostly male being seen as pandering to a certain male audience? I think people take things too far in every aspect, but I just wanna hear

It looks fun, combat looks fun, you’re focussing too much on Youtube content creators and not regular people.

Game looks awesome, I’m excited to check it out. I like the super sexy costumes, feels almost like a throwback to games from another time, and at the end of the day if you think it’s gross or childish, don’t play it, simple as that really.

You’re okay if the protagonist is ‘unattractive’ though?

I’ll bet it does.

> I’m emberased to even buy it

why would you ever let what other people think control what you do ? at the end of the day, its just a video game

Hematomas are also clearly linked to smoking - both able to be caused by it, and almost always being made much worse by it.

i flip flop wildly. sometimes i REALLY like it cuz holding makes the weight behind the action like opening a heavy door or something feel more real, same with moving slowly thru tight spaces. but even i sometimes get impatient and wish there was a way to speed it up.

Dang, Remake was amazing to me. Just seeing all the characters and environments re-imagined in high-res graphics was worth it. Yeah, the story got a little weird near the end, but I found the game really fun.

They shouldn’t replace it though. Putting a disclaiming and saying this game came out at a different time when this was okay is a perfectly fine thing to do. Loads of other media do it, from books to movies and it helps paint a very clear picture of the context of the world when it came out and the over all cultural

I had to double check that I didn’t accidentally stumble upon a review from The Root when I read that whole section. I was pretty appalled at how full-barrel he was gunning down all of it.

you spill an awful lot of text about the supposedly offensive material, but don’t mention what it is. not even broad contours. would be helpful context to help us decide how offensive it is.

Kotaku in this review is being disingenuous about the updated graphics with those comparison pics. That’s not how the updated graphics look on your TV. They look sharp and crisp. They look like this...

I think alterations to the original material is a “dammed if you do dammed if you don’t” situation. Thinking from that perspective, it seems logical to not allocate resources to change these. Also, we don’t see Hollywood making any of these types of changes to their re-releases. Not sure if this deep a criticism is

that acknowledgement about stereotypes if fucking hilarious...they don’t give 2 shits about that

No, but they weren’t like “what about straight people”, they were like “I haven’t played a game lately with representation of any stripe that didn’t also include LGBT+ options”, at least that was my reading. And I agree, though I’ve mostly been playing BG3 lately, which has amazing representation. If you have some

That’s not even close to what I said. My point is that you need to compare games with LGBT representation to games with straight representation to understand if the LGBT population is being adequately represented. Because a SIGNIFICANT amount of games don't have any orientation represented at all.

Imagine reading their post and taking whatever that is from it?
