I tell people (who are usually incredulous) , that I've eaten (whatever food) in something before, when i didn't know it was (hated ingredient) and it either ruined the whole food for me, or I thought it tasted so bad I couldn't eat it, etc. Then they're still offended that I said I hate peaches, but they do believe

I really think that peer pressure and just being an adult helps people to try new foods when they're grown. I never had Indian food until I was 20, and I took a class on Indian history and our professor organized a trip to the local Indian joint for lunch. I was nervous about trying a whole new category of food, but

You learn to make it at home, and next time you can eat the leftovers for lunch. Seriously, you can cook your own Indian food. Without being Indian. It's wonderfully freeing, especially living in a moderate-sized City with no or only one Indian place.

This aggravates me because my kid has a history of oral aversion (meaning that he was literally afraid to eat for years, and isn't so sure about it now), and it's actually a big deal that he is willing to eat the bland, same foods on every kids menu now.

I love Dune. How are you liking it?

Yes, having a Kindle is wonderful in all sorts of ways, like not having to wait for Amazon to ship your books to you when you buy them. And checking them out of the library is great as well. And Hard Boiled Wonderland is one of my very favorite books, so you're off to a good start!

Your comment is unreassuring, since I am reading the same, but recently started part two…

I read it for the first time in the last year. I felt like it really should have been cut down, but frankly, the taxonomy of whales part was one that I would have cut, so hopefully you will enjoy the work as a whole more than I did.

I believe I tried to read that one and somehow couldn't get into it. I liked the other two you mentioned quite a bit, though.

I stated reading it once, had no idea it was part of a trilogy, however loose. What are the other books?

You're needed in the discussion board for Martin Landau's death. They just need to see that you are ok.

We already have a perfectly good and adorable Danny Rand.

Thank you for the warning, Lord!

Thank you for sharing your perspective! I'm terrified of flying and so have given exactly no thought to the real people who fly airplanes.

I always worry that he took years off his life to make that movie.

No, I don't think I'll ruin my own day by watching this, thank you very much.

That was exactly how I felt about it, and I haven't revisited it. I watched the American remake of it recently and didn't hate it. I am frequently surprised that people even remember that movie.

I feel exactly the same way.

Thank you. I didn't notice the joke when I read it.

It sounds like this lady wants you to make huge life decisions without really thinking about it, and that is what I'd consider a huge red flag. Also, you are already finding her exhausting. Please keep looking!
